excellent hostel. Very nice staff, facility and area. I saw many reviews and all saying how great it was this hostel and I can see why, very lovely.

Insect bites during stay

I stayed at this hostel from April 3rd to 6th in a 6-bed mixed room.
Unfortunately, during my stay, I experienced multiple insect bites on exposed areas of my body, which caused significant itching and discomfort.
I raised this issue at check-out and later followed up by email, including photos of both the bites and the condition of the mattress cover.
I understand that situations like this can occasionally happen, but I believe that hygiene standards and attention to guest concerns are extremely important. In this case, the experience was not in line with those expectations.
I appreciate that corrective measures were reportedly taken afterwards, and I hope this helps prevent similar situations for future guests.

It’s pretty good for a hostel but nothing special and it’s expensive for what it is. Pictures and semi- fake reviews make it seem better than it is.( They offer you a free drink if you give them a good review)

Beautiful

I left in July 2025. The hostel is very close to the center, right in front of it. A tram is passing by. A clean, well-maintained, and very nice place.

Poor value for money.

We booked the private double room and were very disappointed with the value for money. For around 200 euros per night, we had to make our own bed. The room was also very small, uninviting due to the dark color choice, and there was hardly any space for storage. Additionally, it was extremely noisy.
Particularly disturbing was the location of the room directly next to the laundry room. It seems that a filter in the washing machine was not changed, which caused an alarm to go off four times during the night. No one from the staff felt responsible, so we had to go to the laundry room in our pajamas multiple times to turn off the machine ourselves.
There was also a serious issue with data protection: For the pre-check-in, we were mistakenly sent a link to book for someone else. As a result, we were able to view this person's personal data.
The only positive aspects are the cleanliness and the central location.
For this price, there are definitely better hotels in Amsterdam.
