Highly recommended
With a group we stayed for one night r. 20 rooms booked at Hotel LEONARDO. The hotel we had booked partly because of its perfect location for our projects
We were kind enough to move into our rooms before the usual check-in time.
My room in the 1. Floor (No 121) was bright, friendly and functional. Everything was extremely clean and showed no signs of wear. Storage space for a short stay was ample, as well as TV, minibar and equipment for coffee/tea making. The windows could be opened. The bed I found extremely comfortable, and sleeping was also possible with the window open.
The shower room with separate toilet was well lit and sufficiently large and equipped with make-up mirror, hairdryer and personal care center.
Breakfast could be taken both indoors and in an atrium. The choice of buffet was very versatile and offered something for every taste. It was followed up lfd.
Conclusion: The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff are very helpful.

NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS HOTEL
Arrived around 1pm to be told the upgraded room we booked was not ready. Came back at 3pm the advertised entry time and still not ready. Eventually got to room to find there is no refrigerator as advertised but a cold box. So if its not cold to start with, you have no way of chilling it. No kettle as advertised. Reception had one delivered to room but there were no teaspoons, no teabags, no milk etc etc. There are three lifts for a pretty large hotel. One not working and barricaded off, one works but only if you are happy to go to every floor where it stops, opens it doors and waits. So one lift. Queues at peak times were ridiculous and the crowding when a lift arrived was claustrophobic. There are stairs, but they do not go to Reception, they come out at the far side of the hotel and you have to walk round the street and back into Reception. Room was large but a bit minimalist, you could have thought it was a store room for odd bits of furniture. Everything was very clean and breakfast was plentiful and a great selection. Close to all the sites and railway station. Day two I had to go to Reception as there appeared to be a problem in the room next to us. A lot of noises like someone in pain or needing assistance. I went down to Reception but was met with disinterest. Said she would call someone but I waited in Reception as I was not convinced. Took time to say goodbye to guests before picking up the phone.... Never heard or saw anyone near the room which we reported..... The following day the same again. We suspect it was a disabled person who was staying with family but it should have been investigated urgently. Not impressed with this hotel and would not stay again. There is a good Italian restaurant just round the corner though.

Clean room. Good size. Safe area directly across from the train station. When looking for a restaurant go to the right as you exit the hotel.

Great central location, close to the train station, and walkable to restaurants, museums, Brandenburg Gate, Riechstag, and Gendarmenmarkt.

Very good hotel in the center of Berlin
We stayed at the Leonardo Mitte Hotel in Berlin three nights during the May Bridge and the experience was very satisfying. Firstly, because of its very central location, next to the Friedrichstasse, which allowed you to walk to many of the city's tourist attractions or take advantage of Berlin's public transport network. Secondly, for its price (449 euros in total plus 35 city tax, including breakfast, obtained through the Destinia app), suitable considering the increase in hotel prices experienced in recent years. Thirdly, for its facilities, very spacious and complete. Fourthly, for the room, superior category, large size and outside balcony, with a bathroom without shower tray, which at first shocked us, but which was not an impediment given the slight inclination of the floor. Also, the breakfast was very complete. The professionalism of its staff must also be highlighted. In short, a central hotel to consider very much in a future visit to the city of Berlin.
