Highly recommended for families
I’ve been to this property a couple of times, and it never disappoints. It offers a calm Arabic ambiance, with clean and spacious rooms. The staff are friendly as well. Definitely a must-try for families and couples due to its peaceful environment. Great value for the price. Highly recommended for families looking for a summer getaway in the area

The hotel advertises an airport shuttle and does not have one. They say you must contact them for it but they don’t have one. I asked for one in the morning and I was told they don’t have an airport shuttle. Room is large but just ok. If you are planning on an airport shuttle….don’t.

Apartment-hotel from another age – disappointing
Very disappointing experience in this dark and old apartment-hotel.
The decoration, probably thought at the time to give a traditional character, gives today rather the impression of a dark and low ceiling cavern. The whole clearly lacks light and modernity.
Everything seems frozen in another era, from furniture to finishes, and comfort is affected.
Only positive: the modern washing machine with dryer function, convenient for long stays.
Apart from that, a place to be renovated in depth to meet current standards.

Old smelly and dirty! It needs to renovate the whole thing. The positive it’s big apartment with lots space, kitchen, laundry, living room.

Excellent Value for Money – Spacious and Well-Located
I stayed at Al Liwan Suites for five nights and paid around $200 in total — an outstanding value for what the hotel offers. The location is in a fairly popular neighborhood, which is very convenient: there’s a mosque right next door, many shops around, and even a laundry service directly across the street offering with low prices.
The hotel features a gym and Ubers are available instantly at all times of day. The biggest highlight: the room (or rather, the suite) is enormous, with a separate living room, high-quality bedding, daily large bottled water, and nice toiletries.
There are a few things to improve: no housekeeping was done during the first two days; the smart lighting system is modern but had some glitches (a couple of lights were defective); the kitchen hood is quite old and lets in noise from neighboring rooms. One TV didn’t work at all and the other occasionally lost picture quality.
Despite these small drawbacks, for the price paid, the overall experience far exceeded expectations. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers looking for space and convenience in Doha.
Special thanks to Bouchra at the reception who was very helpful during check-out.
