Nice hotel in heart of Dublin
Excellent location in Dublin right next to Christ Church. Very walkable to everything. Darkey Kelley pub in same building has great live music and feels like you’re a regular. Good food as well.
Hotel has A/C. Bathroom very small and needs upgrade but this perhaps is just Dublin hotel bathroom. Served its function. Everything is clean and staff friendly and helpful.

Noisy Hotel
Worst hotel unless you want to get to sleep at 2am, the bar downstairs doesn't shut until 1am and the rooms are not soundproof so you hear all the noise like you're in the bar yourself. Quiet hours clearly don't exist here as I couldn't sleep until 2am. The staff should do better at keeping the noise to a minimum and a bar that is attached to a hotel should close at 11 the latest. Don't bother coming here as you won't sleep.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Harding Hotel following your recent stay - it is always important for the Harding Hotel to receive all guests' feedback, even if it is challenging.
We would always look to strike a balance between those who wish to relax and those who wish to socialize in the hotel's public bar, Darkey Kellys.
At the weekends, bars in Ireland are able to serve until 12.30 (11.30 midweek & 11 pm on Sundays).
The Harding always does its' very best to allocate guests who contact the hotel prior to their arrival date requesting a quieter room, rooms that will allow a restful night, and the front desk has ear plugs for those not accustomed to street noise, Cathedral bells or indeed the bar.
The hotel does highlight that we have a lively bar onsite for those who may be light sleepers or wondering about any noise within the hotel.
I can only apologize if you were disrupted from sleeping while staying in the Harding Hotel - this is obviously not what we wish to happen for any guests.
I do hope that we can accommodate you again in the future to try and improve your opinion of the Harding Hotel.

Super cute historic hotel in an A+ location. Easily walk to Temple Bar, churches, parks, historical sites, pretty much everything you want to see in Dublin. As with most historic properties, rooms are small. My only real complaint is the lack of hot water/water pressure. If you are an American used to taking a hot shower with lots of water, you're going to feel like you're camping - the hottest the water will go is nowhere near the temp at which I shower at home. Staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating and room was immaculately clean.

Friendly and near everything
The Harding is near everything touristy in Dublin. We walked almost everywhere to explore and meat up with tours. The location was perfect for us. The staff couldn't be better friendly, helpful and very informative. Don't expect a modern US hotel, this is a older building converted to a hotel. The beds are comfortable, there is AC and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms are small, but adequate. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Quirky hotel with history and charm
Tough one to score because it’s an old, quirky place that’s a bit tired (perhaps a 3*) but the staff, location and general vibe are a 5.
The staff was marvelous— helpful, kind and welcoming. That can go a long way toward offsetting any inconvenience of dealing with an older building in need of a repair here and there. The bed relatively comfortable and our room was clean and spacious.
The location (historic Fishamble street) is directly across from Christ Church Cathedral, a few blocks from the Liffey and within walking distance of many of the things that tourists would want to see.
There are a slew of historic pubs in the area, with a particularly interesting one attached to the hotel. (Google the story of Darkey Kelly and Copper Alley). With live music and great food, it was difficult to find seating for dinner, but the hotel manager came to our rescue and we were seated in short order.
By some measures, this might be just an average hotel, but for us, it was a very enjoyable stay.
