Excellent stay experience! When in Athens stands out for its wonderful people – kind, hospitable and always willing to help. The service is impeccable and makes you feel at home. The cleanliness is exemplary, with attention to every detail. I definitely recommend it & I will definitely appreciate it again on my next stay!!

Exceptionally well maintained hostel

I have stayed in 4 bed female dorm. The entire property was very clean which i have not experienced in any other hostels . Would highly recommend for solo travellers. The staff was very helpful in giving guidance about the places to visit and other travel related information's.

It felt creepy like they were perving on the guests.

Shiny marbles, yes—but the rooms are tiny, crammed with beds, and there’s absolutely no space for your luggage. The toilets and showers are equally small and uncomfortable.
I stayed in February when the weather was really cold. The hostel was nearly empty, yet the owner decided to squeeze all guests into just two rooms and refused to turn the heaters on. We were absolutely freezing at night.
The whole place is covered in CCTV cameras. The owner—mid-to-late 40s, wearing acetate glasses—and his assistant, a man with a moustache around the same age, seemed to be constantly monitoring the footage. It felt creepy like they were perving on the guests.
To top it off, there’s loud noise from the bar next door, so don’t expect a good night’s sleep.
I stuck it out for the five nights I had prepaid, then immediately moved to another hostel. Never again.

Excellent hostel, depending on staff

I loved this hostel - everything about it - the location, the cleanliness, the beautiful marble foyer, modern appliances, free coffee/tea, friendly vibes and the thought out into everything including privacy. After chatting a few days to staff I realised I had been talking to the very friendly and helpful owner. The luggage lock allocated to my bed was broken and he immediately came and fixed it in under 5 minutes. The only let down was my room was next to the courtyard which a loud group of men were up each night until well past nightnight smoking and chatting loudly so my throat hurt. Also the shutters on a humid night were left open by another customer in my room which let all the mosquitoes in, I was bitten several times on the face and I woke to a heavily swollen face and one eye a third shut. To be fair, when I got up to ask for some mosquito deterrent or spray the girl tried but couldn't find the stuff and when I asked again in the morning a diffuser was installed and worked a dream, so this was more than I'dhave expected as I was just after a local bug spray. On one night a very nasty and rude woman with dark hair manning the desk at night hissed at us constantly in the downstairs living room to be quiet when we didn't even use raised voices, but she did nothing about the men loudly laughing all night in the courtyard - all other staff were lovely but it certainly destroyed the social vibe there. Even the owner didn't behave like that and it's a shame he didn't see this, though other male staff did. Otherwise, the place is fantastic - well located in a safe, artsy area with excellent food options, lots of conveniences, a gorgeous courtyard, high tech security, lots of locks and codes with soft close doors and extremely clean. I will definitely stay here again if that nasty woman isn't there.

OK so this hostel is awesome but it's a short walk away from the tourist areas. Here you will experience 'true athens' the local bars and food is so much better than you will get at the tourist traps. The locals are friendly and very much welcome, however the area may not be everyone's cuppa, it depends what you want I guess.. The hostel it self has great communal areas and such great staff, a very vibrant and social experience. Look out for their events and try the pizza... 👍🏻
