Charming hotel in a fantastic part of Paris. On a pedestrian street with cafes, bakery, ATM, grocery store and close to several metro stops. Rooms are small but the location more than makes up for it. I will stay here again!

Great: location
Bad: no AC in my room.
Fine: clean, and bed okay.
So the location is within a 5 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and all the touristy little places around there.
There was no AC in my room. There's a remote control for the supposed AC, it shows the temperature is at 21 degrees Celsius, lol. It's set to Auto. I put it down to 20 degrees. It makes no difference. In the morning, I came out into the hallway: the hallway was slightly cooler. I came OUTSIDE, into the street: significantly cooler. It was 24 degrees Celsius outside that morning at 7.30am. So believe me, there was NO air conditioning in that room. None whatsoever.
Oh, the window does open, but it has no screen so it's not a real option.

Basic hotel

The female front desk receptionist at check and check out was great, super friendly, and helpful. The room was basic and clean. However we asked to have our room cleaned only 1 of our 3 day stay and it wasn’t done, mind you we put the tag on the door and the male front desk attendant asked us as we left in the morning We were able to get fresh towels from the front desk. The beds and pillows were a bit hard, but it had AC. The shower was typical for Europe but lacks space to put your toiletries.
Parking is about a 5-7 minute walk but you are able unload and load our stuff at the hotel. The walk is about 15-20 minutes to old town and beach about 4-5 blocks away. Overall a basic hotel stay. We did not try the breakfast though it was available for an extra charge. The front desk did speak English which was a plus.

Great location and excellent quality price

We stayed at the hotel from 27 to 30 March. The welcome is very warm, the room is very clean and nice. The buffet breakfast is varied. This hotel is perfect for exploring the region.

Quality stay in a great location

Alcove was a great choice for our 4-day stay. It has a great location close to excellent restaurants and, of course, the Mediterranean. Parking is a five minute walk away and the street in front is very busy. You don’t really need a car in this location though as it is very convenient to many of the sites and to public transportation. The rooms are nice with good quality basics. The staff is very responsive and helpful. I have recommended this hotel to friends who are going to Nice this summer and I would not hesitate to do so again.
