Brilliant city hotel
We stayed at the Byakko for 5 nights as part of a South of France trip. We are a family of 3 and my 2 parents. Our triple room was wonderful. Clean, large and a huge wrap around sun terrace. My parents was lovely, a small balcony to watch Nice go by. Tea, coffee and a kettle provided on the rooms. We also had a fridge. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of choice, very fresh and delicious coffee. Fresh orange juice every morning was a bonus.
The staff are fantastic. All very friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble.
The beds are the most comfortable I have stayed in abroad. The hotel is spotlessly clean.
Location is great. The train station and tram stops are really close.
I highly recommend the Byakko for a Nice stay.

Cheap alternative
For a weekend in Nice quite enough, but we have visited better hotels there. The hotel has a good location, in the center, a few minutes walk to the promenade and the old town. Our room was very small but clean. There is tea and coffee in the room, a bottle of water on arrival would have been good. In the afternoon, the breakfast room also offers free coffee, tea, juices. The purest mess, however, was breakfast. The space is far too small for the number of guests (and we were there in March!). You had to queue and wait to get a seat. So either show up well before 9am or after 10am to bypass peak time. It seemed more like a canteen, you could not enjoy the breakfast. The selection was OK, Standard. The staff seemed a bit stressed, they really had a lot to do. You can also take breakfast to the roof terrace in good weather, but with a tray 5 floors up (in between, the elevator is also down) is rather not a good idea. The roof terrace is quite nice, we still sat there every night.

Fantastic stay
Fantastic experience! Hotel Byakko had all of the amenities (WiFi, air conditioning, etc) that one can need! Additionally, the location was fantastic! I strongly recommend staying here.

Cozy stay

Excellent staff. Would recommend for families
We stayed at Hotel Byakko in Nice as a family of four (two adults and two young children) in Suite 42 with the outside terrace.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend the hotel, particularly for families looking for a convenient base close to Nice-Ville station.
The standout feature was the excellent service from the front desk team. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We were travelling with a double buggy, and although it wouldn't fit in the lifts, the staff kindly allowed us to store it in the luggage room, which made a huge difference and was very much appreciated.
Suite 42 was spacious, with very comfortable beds and a lovely private terrace that was a great place to relax. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches for our children, which made them feel very welcome.
The location is another big plus, just a short walk from Nice-Ville station, making it ideal for exploring Nice and taking day trips along the Côte d'Azur.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The hotel felt a little shabby in places and could benefit from some updating. Our bathroom door didn't have a lock, and there was no hand soap provided, which seemed like an oversight. Access to our room involved taking two separate small lifts, neither of which could accommodate our double buggy, so families with larger pushchairs should be aware of this.
Despite these minor issues, the excellent customer service, comfortable room and fantastic location made for an enjoyable stay. We'd definitely consider staying here again on a future visit to Nice.
