The room was clean but it's a little old. Location is great considering it's walkable distance to the train station. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great service and very nice people.

Disrespectful reception and refusal of room despite confirmed reservation.
I strongly advise against this hotel. ⛔⚠️
My experience was extremely poor due to the behavior of the new receptionist present at my arrival. Her attitude was disrespectful, unpleasant, and absolutely unprofessional towards a client who had a confirmed reservation.
After an initial exchange with another receptionist who indicated that a solution regarding the deposit was possible, the new receptionist took over the case in a very aggressive manner and ultimately denied me access to the establishment. She even took the liberty of addressing me informally despite my remarks, whereas a minimum of respect and professionalism is expected in the hospitality industry.
The most incomprehensible part is that the hotel was fully booked at the entrance, yet availability reappeared on Booking shortly after my refusal. This situation caused me significant stress and forced me to urgently book another hotel to avoid being left without accommodation.
Fortunately, Booking.com ultimately stepped in and allowed the free cancellation of my reservation after reviewing the case. Without their intervention, the situation would have been even more problematic.
I do not understand how the management of this hotel can entrust the reception and management of clients to someone who presents herself as a new receptionist, yet still makes the decision to deny access to the hotel to a client with a confirmed reservation in a very rude and clumsy manner, despite the fact that the client was ready to pay for their stay and the required deposit.
I want to emphasize that my opinion mainly concerns the management of the reception and the behavior of this receptionist, which greatly degraded my experience.
I do not recommend this establishment to those seeking professional, respectful service and serious management of clientele.

It was very noisy - no sound proof walls or doors, so very difficult to sleep. Lots of stairs to the rooms. Did not use the air conditioner so don’t know if it worked. First room I was shown to had not been cleaned but then I was upgraded to a bigger room straight away which was good. Bar fridge was great and access to microwave. I would say it was good value for money, if you are out late and can sleep through noise from neighbours.

That's OKAY, no worries.
So, of course this is not the Hilton Hotel, but if you are looking to keep costs down, and have a pleasant stay, this place is an excellent option.
The owner, as well as the staff, are extremely welcoming and genuinely kind, which is not something to take for granted, especially in France, especially if you are an italian in France (they hate us).
The room was very small, but perfectly clean and quiet. I had a very pleasant stay overall. They asked for a 100€ depost, bu returned it right after I left, after checking I left the room in good conditions.
All in all, it strikes me as an excellent compromise, and I would definitely recommend it!
