Very nice hotel
Great location in Massena Square close to the Promenade des Anglais and Negresco. Very friendly and professional staff, very hearty and varied breakfast. Only flat, toilet very very very tiny.

Hotel with very central location.
Very central location close to the beach, restaurants and shops.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Elevator available. The hotel has a large air-conditioned foyer. Luggage space available.
The hotel has a breakfast buffet where there is something to suit everyone (yogurt, scrambled eggs, bread, pancakes etc.).
What pulls down the rating is the room standard. Based on the amount we paid for a superior double room, we would not call it “superior”. A renovation of the rooms and bathrooms would be much needed. The pictures from the hotel website look better and we probably got a room that is not renovated, hence not affordable if you look at the standard. There was air conditioning and fridge which was a plus. The room had no smoke detectors but there were in the corridor as well as two emergency exits as far as we could see. Opening window in the room.

Great location and thoughtful touches for our honeymoon
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel Masséna for our honeymoon and had a very enjoyable stay.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Masséna tram stop, making it easy to travel to and from the train station, while the Old Town, seafront and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
We received a professional yet friendly welcome on arrival. As the hotel knew we were celebrating our honeymoon, they had decorated our room and left us some delicious macarons, which was a thoughtful surprise and a lovely way to start our stay.
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We also had a balcony, which was useful as it meant my husband could vape without needing to leave the hotel. The bathroom felt modern and well finished, although the rest of the room was beginning to show its age in places.
The complimentary bottles of water that were replenished each day were very welcome during the August heat, and having a fridge in the room was another nice touch. It was perfect for keeping a bottle of wine chilled to enjoy after a day exploring Nice.
Overall, this is a well-located hotel with friendly service and several thoughtful touches that made our stay memorable. We’d happily stay here again.

Very bad welcome, rude staff, we ran into a racist and rude gentleman, small room, and no one helps you, not even to bring up the suitcases; I do not recommend this establishment to you.

A Masterclass in Apathy and Minimalist Breakfasts
If you are looking to truly test your patience and lower your expectations to subterranean levels, this Best Western in Nice is the perfect destination.
Weeks before arriving in a sweltering 32-degree Nice, we thought it might be a charming idea to inquire about an early check-in, seeing as we were landing before 10 AM. The response we received via Booking.com was an absolute masterclass in profound nothingness. Naturally, upon arrival, we dared to ask the question again. The staff graciously promised to 'get back to us' later that day. We are, of course, still waiting with bated breath. Apparently, completely ignoring your guests—without bothering to offer a simple 'yes' or 'no'—is a bold new trend in hospitality that we simply aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate.
The reception staff themselves were an absolute delight. Their flawless execution of utter disinterest, perfectly paired with a breathtakingly arrogant attitude, really made us feel like the bothersome peasants we clearly were for expecting basic customer service.
And then there was the breakfast. Having stayed at numerous hotels in this class, we were truly mesmerized by their innovative approach. The buffet was an exercise in extreme minimalism: most of the food was entirely gone and, in a stroke of genius, rarely ever refilled. It saved us the terrible inconvenience of actually eating. Watching the sheer, mounting frustration among our fellow hungry guests every morning really fostered a wonderful sense of community.
Highly recommended if you enjoy being actively ignored and starting your day on an empty stomach.
