Stunning hotel!

I could not have guessed I would find a place of this caliber in little Harare, but it was perhaps one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The common areas are peaceful and lovely for relaxing. The restaurant is outstanding and the service makes you feel like royalty. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Feels like home away from home

Loved the rooms, especially the heated blanket in the cold season. Spacious, lovely decor.
The restaurant is great. (Meals are a la carte).
Staff are friendly.
Truly feels like home away from home. Would recommend and will be back next time.

Quiet, cozy and relaxing

The stuff is amazing and ready to help when needed. The rooms are kept clean and have a homely feeling. Really liked the body wash there, it was soothing and the lotion is equally the same. As a resident you also get a complementary sweet (fudge) which is unusual compared to other places.

Not the best experience

Stayed for 6 nights. Whilst I agree that the location is great, beautiful rooms and surrounds, I was not impressed by the micro-aggressions I experienced with the service and was appalled by the way I was treated on departure.
I had a few errands to run before checking out, and also needed to do at least a couple of trips from the room to the car with luggage. I took the large suitcase to put in the car before driving out on my errands. I was watched by at least 4 staff members chatting near my car as I was struggling with the suitcase with no offers of assistance. I drove out and came back (more than an hour before check out time) and went to get the rest of my bags: still under the very close scrutiny (nil assistance) of staff. I went to check out and pay the small charges left (accommodation had been paid in full on check in).
I went to drive out and was stopped by the guard at the gate saying he had been instructed not to let me out as I had not left the room keys (!) I went back in and was told it was my "misunderstanding" because "I looked like I was in a rush". I definitely don't need to report my movements whilst a guest and perhaps if the staff had been helpful, said good morning, had a conversation they could have avoided some very misguided assumptions.

Dear Dr Mothobi,
I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience at checkout. It is standard proceudre for our seurity guard to check with guests on departure that keys have been returned to reception.
I will most definately take it up with the groundsmen on duty as to why they did not offer you any assistance with your luggage getting to you car as this is not acceptable.

Stunning lodge

Fabulous lodge, stunning, spacious rooms, well decorated. Great aircon and ok wifi. Good size bathroom with separate bath and shower.
The staff are very attentive, and quickly recognise you.
Pool , gym and tennis court on the property.
The breakfast was good.
The only downside was the sound proofing of the bedroom, on both nights I could hear people in the room next door
