Fantastic!! To be redone

From the first step inside the Marathon Hostel to the last farewell, it was a wonderful experience. I haven't slept this well or felt this at peace in a hostel for a long time. The room was spotless, and the staff was friendly and professional. Everything works wonderfully at the Marathon Hostel, and I hope to return one day. Additionally, it is located in a beautiful area that seems straight out of a movie. If you are looking for a place in Genoa with a good price-quality ratio in a picturesque area, the Marathon Hostel is the right choice for you.

Too much noise.

We stayed 3 nights in this hostel. Fantastic location right next to Via XX Settembre and close to the Eastern Market. Rooms are quite spacious and clean, and the staff is friendly.
The downside is that the hostel is noisy, with people talking loudly in the hallways even at night; the hostel has a pub on the ground floor that hosts events. My room was above the pub, and for two nights we slept after one o'clock because one night there was live music and another night karaoke. Now, we can tolerate the chatter of people, but not the music with amplifiers. Moreover, the rooms were not soundproof at all; you could even hear a set of keys being placed from one room to another.

The environment is too "noisy"....

I am reviewing dinner on a May evening. There was too much noise when young people were in the hostel and all dining inside; we were outside, and they kept coming out to smoke and make noise. Good hamburger, but the pizza selection was too limited.....the waiters were kind. Rather expensive.

The perfect stay:)

Stayed for one night, could have stayed all week. Great staff great facilities great location and great beer. 5/5. Close to city center and great restaurants. And by the reception there is a bar, that gave os free chips with salsa and olives!

Here's to more hostels like this!

One of the best hospitality experiences I've had in a long time. Marathon surprises with everything it offers. Very Genoese gastronomy with super affordable prices and good music. It is located in an area that boasts top brands and is strategically 500 meters from the city center. Built under a historic bridge, with different levels of neighborhoods the area is surreal to the eyes.
The room is very comfortable and well ventilated. It has different community spaces for different activities and a functional kitchen. As an extra, it has laundry service and gym.
What stands out the most is the service of the entire staff, from the manager to the cleaning team, who have been very friendly and helpful.
I strongly recommend this hostel and hope to stay again!
