Weekend Trip

My dad and I needed a place to stay for a night while back packing. Hotel Iberia was perfect size, clean, quaint with Afro-Uruguayan decorations, and in a good location in Barrio Sur near the main drag Ave 18 de Julio. The staff was a little reserved and they didn't separate the beds to two twins after I asked twice, but they did accommodate our super early arrival.

Lovely and clean rooms, Nice and friendly owners and staff, No fancy but you have everything you need, excellent location and price, highly recommended! Breakfast not included but it's a kitchen with microwave you can use to warm up your food which sometimes it's better/ cheaper ,close to the city, lots of restaurants and places to eat! I felt very welcome and secure! I recommend it to anyone looking for no luxury just a lovely place with great prices and everything you need! I definitely be back with my family, Thanks guys for making me feel so welcome and at home!Hope To see you all soon again!!

Great customer service

The hotel was very nice. We booked it for two weeks. When we first arrived they gave us a room on the 3rd floor. There is no lift so we stayed for about 3 days and then went down to talk to the ladies at the front desk. To see if we could check out early, so we could find a different hotel with a lift. The manager was there so we talked to her and she asked us what was wrong with the room. My wife explained it aunt the hotel it was the stairs. She said she would move us to a room on the first floor. This was so kind so we said ok. We went to the new room and it was twice the size of our last room. There was no extra charge either. When we were charged for the room. we were over charged for one day. my wife emailed the hotel and with in 5 mins there was a knock on our door. With cash for the over charged room. We were very happy staying here.

Turned out all right, not a great neighborhood

I am reviewing the room I ended up in (room 5). This room was good, clean and comfortable. There was no one there to help me take my suitcase up the stairs (the equivalent of 2 floors). The immediate area was pretty sketchy, although a few blocks away was all right. I moved from room 7 (bad wifi). Oh also poor quality toilet paper!

Clean Cosy and Simple

Really nice hotel , very clean with friendly staff . Booked for 3 nights ended up staying a week. Great base for Montevidz ,near the sea and the old city. They have a couple of PC which are useful for planning further travels . Definitely recommend . Easily exceeds most 3 star hotels and probably a lot of 4star .
