very high quality/price ratio!

Small hostel in the center of Katowice, my experience is mostly positive, the hostel has recently been completely renovated, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen really spacious and fully equipped, it is worth noting the fact that you have coffee, tea and biscuits at your disposal, all free of charge, and unlike the hostels where I have stayed, the towels were free, another pleasant surprise, they also speak Italian

very high quality/price ratio!

I travel a lot and I often stay in hostels, it is definitely not the best hostel I have slept in, but for this price it is definitely a real revelation, free breakfast, comfortable bed, large and well-equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, hot water and wi fi, I can't ask for more from a hostel, it clearly does not have the comfort of a hotel, but for 10 euros a night I think it is impossible to do better.

They have rigid policy that does not accomodate needs of customers.

This hostel is an absolute nightmare. I booked and paid for a stay from the 5th to the 13th of August but had to leave on the 2nd day I got Poland due to an emergency back home. When I returned on the 11th, they had canceled my entire reservation without notice, leaving me stranded with no key, no help, and no one to talk to. Despite paying in full, I was forced to find another place to stay. Their complete lack of professionalism and customer service is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs—it’s not worth the risk.

Loud, weird, smelly, dark

Stayed for 4 nights.
1. The socket was making weird crackling noise every time I plugged in something. Definitely worth checking by an electrician.
2. Very thin, used mattress. Bed sheets looked like they could be thrown away.
3. Small, claustrophobic room. Gets very hot in the summer. We just had 1 small suitcase and a backpack, and we barely had any room to move (despite having a bunk bed!)
4. GETS AWFULLY LOUD AT NIGHTS. People slamming doors till 6-7am, walking or running down the corridor, talking very load. Clearly not considerate towards the others.
5. Toilet paper disappearing from bathrooms as soon as it was replenished.
6. Kitchen looked dirty so we weren't even making a tea let alone drinking water from there. One oven was taped over with a yellow tape saying "do not use". Looked like a massive fire/gas issue to me.
7. Some random people sleeping on a sofa in the communal area.
8. Receptionist told us on arrival "this is your code to get to the hostel, I'm not here after 7pm" (!) And that was it.
9. Staff looked like they were bored out of their minds.
What was good: close to the city. Clean.

You can't expect much with that price

Creepy entrance, dirty shared bathroom, dirtier room walls and floor, at least it was cheap but next time I would prefer to spend some more to go to a clean place. The hostel is good for go clubbing in Katowice though
