Beautiful property
New, beautiful, and well-organized property. Too bad it is a bit far from the historic center. We liked the property a lot. I am not giving it the maximum rating because there was a misunderstanding with the receptionist who made us pay 30 euros for an early check-in when they had warned via email that it was free. In any case, I would return.

Insights from a 4 week stay
Stayed for 4 weeks on a business trip - here some insights to consider before booking:
- Albeit only 4 years old, the property is in a poor state; scratches, dents and heavy staining across public areas and in the rooms.
- Cleanliness inside the rooms (I changed mine on arrival twice) is equally poor; heavy stains, “fluid” residue, etc.
- Mattresses are not covered with a protector sheet as is standard in hotels, ie very unhygienic.
- Rooms are not adequately soundproof - you can clearly hear the guests in the rooms beside you.
- Service is sadly typical of a lifestyle hotel brand. Requests are met with disinterest and a clear don’t care attitude.
I have asked to speak to the GM to note my concerns:
My request for his business Email was denied citing privacy laws.
Following my request for him to contact me, I have sadly never heard back.

Exceeded expectations. Great place, great staff, great amenities. We would absolutely stay here again.

Stylish property, poorly managed experience
WunderLocke is a stylish apartment property with an interesting concept, but our experience was very disappointing.
The biggest problem was the service elevator, which broke down during the first week of our stay and remained out of service for a long time. We were repeatedly told it would be fixed soon, but the timelines kept changing and nothing actually happened.
Meanwhile, staff used the small guest elevators throughout the day to transport housekeeping carts, laundry, supplies and equipment, often creating long waits. Staff would also regularly stop closing elevator doors with their hands, ask where we were going, and sometimes tell us they needed to go in the opposite direction. This happened almost daily and became extremely frustrating.
There was also very loud waste collection around 6 AM, while ongoing transport disruptions meant there was no direct metro connection to the city centre. Guests should be informed about such things before arrival.
What was especially disappointing was the impression we got from our communication with management: many operational functions appear to be outsourced, and the service on site does not reflect the standards or values we would normally associate with the Locke brand. As a result, guests should not automatically expect the same level of service simply because the apartments operate under the Locke name.
The property has potential, but the poor handling of problems, communication and day-to-day service made our long stay much less comfortable than expected.

Families 2-day overnight stay
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights.
The hotel is simply designed.
Around the reception, there are tables available for business travelers. (laptop/PC/outlets)
Not relevant for us as a family.
You can use these games for playing together.
The breakfast was rather average as there was a small selection.
The pancake for children was definitely great. The cleanliness at breakfast was good; things were cleared away quickly and the table was cleaned immediately upon leaving. The staff there were very nice.
The cleanliness in the hallway in front of the elevator and corridors looked rather unkempt.
The bed in our loft had stains upon arrival.
The toilet had brown spots under the toilet seat, which I removed by cleaning.
The pool was small but perfectly adequate for 2 days.
If someone wants it simple, they are in good hands there.
If they want a higher standard of cleanliness, they should look for another hotel.
