Always my first choice in Leipzig.

A clean room, a nice bathroom, a kitchen with everything you need and nice staff I can only recommend it!

no frills, basic, clean and very good priced

I can only assume the differences in ratings is due to expectations. The B&B Probstheida, or shall I say the B&Bs (they have about 100 rooms) is basic, for Leipzig exceedingly reasonable priced, very quiet and in a perfect location for the “Herzzentrum”. If you want to go to the city centre, it takes about 20 minutes by directs S-Bahn. The rooms are clean and all have their private bathroom and a small kitchenette. Of course they are basic, but what can you expect for that price.
I have chosen it for the location (my Dad had an operation in the clinic), arrived very late at night and received precise instructions how to check in and find my room. Breakfast is very generous and the rooms were made up each day. The owners are friendly and caring, and when my Dad sadly passed away, went beyond professionalism to accommodate the rest of my family on very short notice.
Of course you are told that you are not allowed to smoke in the rooms, something even I, as a smoker, appreciate; you don’t get a smelly room. Ash trays are abundant outside.
If you want a no frill accommodation for a very good price, you will be pressed hard to find something better.

Man muss wissen, worauf man sich einlässt

Eine Pension, gedacht für Monteure und sicherlich vor allem für ausländische Gastarbeiter. Auf der Russenstraße gelegen, ist diese Nationalität am häufigsten gelegen. Die Anmeldung war, wie in den anderen Bewertungen schon geschrieben, bei einem Telefonat bekamen wir schließlich dann die Codes für den Schlüsselsafe. Hatten mehrere Einzelzimmer. Diese waren sehr sauber. Die Zimmerenrichtung war spartanisch und ausgerichtet auf die Bedürfnisse von Männern, die den ganzen Tag auf Baustellen arbeiten. Zwei Kochplatten, ein Kühlschrank, eine Spüle, ein kleiner Fernseher, Tisch, zwei Stühle, Bett und Schrank. Bad mit WC und Dusche. Für einmal Übernachten ist es ok.

Welcome to the jungle: günstiges Chaos

Sehr günstig - 50€/Nacht am Böhse-Onkelz-&-Helene-Fischer-Wochenende - aber der Hotelier ist doch eher unorganisiert: Zimmer vor Monaten (deshalb günstig) bei booking.com gebucht, am Morgen der Anreise war das nicht bei ihm bekannt, auf Nachfrage hat er es gefunden, auch keine Einzelzimmer, nur Zimmerflucht (sauber). Als wir nachts um 1 in unser Zimmer gehen -mit Schlüssel! - liegt einer im Bett, Zimmer noch vom Vortag belegt, hat weder Hotelier noch Zimmermädchen gemerkt... Dann halt anderes Zimmer. Wenn man wie wir vom Onkelz-Konzert kommt (ONKELZ!!!) stört einen der „Komfort“ nicht, Helene-Fischer-Fans würde ich aber abraten...

unfreundlich, unverschämt, Katastrophe!

Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern nur anschließen. Der Besitzer wirkt wie Scrooge für das Hotelfach. Anfragen werden in bellendem Ton unfreundlich beantwortet - wenn überhaupt. Ich hatte ein Problem mit meiner Reservierung, mir wurden daraufhin höchst zweifelhaft Informationen gegeben - im Nachhinein haben sie sich als völliger Humbug herausgestellt - und als ich mich über die Unfreundlichkeit beschwerte wurde ich beschimpft und der Hörer einfach aufgelegt. Ich hatte damit also schon vor der Anreise die Nase voll und habe mir gleich was anderes gesucht. Ich kann nur jedem raten, dasselbe zu tun!
