Great Hotel to Use the Chase Edit Credit
Dates Stayed: Friday, June 19th, 2026 to Monday, June 22nd, 2026
Time Arrived: around 10:30am
Room Ready: around 1pm

The hubby and I decided to stay at the Ritz in Berlin in order to take advantage of a few deals. I had an Free Night Certificate (FNC) I used for the last night. The hubs and I have the Chase Sapphire Reserve so took advantage of the edit credit. The first two nights would have been $997.39, but we used our $250 CC credit, paid a few bucks in cash, and used points for the rest. Thru Chase we booked a Deluxe Guest room, 1 King. I had reached out prior to ask if we could stay in the same room the entire time. Luckily they were able to upgrade to the category I booked with my FNC. Thru Chase, we also got a $100 on property credit, free breakfast, and a welcome amenity. The welcome gift ended up being a couple bottles of water and some chocolates.
The Ritz reached out prior to with a questionnaire regarding our stay so they can customize anything you might need. I also let them know we were in Berlin celebrating an anniversary. They were super sweet and sent us a cake.
The room itself was great. Bed comfy and a great size. Had a spacious sitting area, large bathroom. Nice view of the plaza. It really isn't much to look at, but I appreciate any kind of view. Before we got our room, we went down to the spa to freshen up. We actually took the airport express FEX to get here. It was unusually hot during that time, so it was nice to clean up a bit.
The free breakfast at POTS is something you should not skip. I highly recommend checking it out at least once. We did hit it up Sunday morning. You can order off their a la carte menu and hit up the buffet. I believe everything is included except alcoholic beverages. We also went to the Curtain Club twice while staying here.
Service wise, I felt like this spot was pretty hands off. But I know if I needed something, I could ask for it. Overall, a nice hotel to use the Chase Edit credit.

Disgusting and moldy, poor service
I cannot recommend the hotel to anyone. The list of defects is long:
I ordered a dog bed for my small dog. Photo of the condition of the dog bed in my room attached. Simply disgusting!
I booked a hair appointment through the hotel for a men's haircut. Obviously the hotel gets a cashback, I had to pay €98 for a 20-minute haircut. It was a run-of-the-mill haircut without much effort. I would strongly avoid the organics hair salon around the corner. When I complained about the price, the concierge did not support the guest, but rather the hairdresser. The personal connection and interest were clearly noticeable. Intrusive thought: After sending three ripped-off guests to the hairdresser, a free haircut for the concierge?
The wellness area is in dire need of renovation. You are greeted by caution tape, followed by mold in the saunas (photos attached).
There are never fresh towels and never clean loungers. Nobody cleans the wellness area.
It drips from the ceiling when you come out of the sauna because there is water damage there (photo attached).
I reordered coffee capsules on two days and waited over 1 hour for each.
On Saturdays, there were only 2 people in the kitchen, but besides the hotel guests, many outside guests. It was as loud as a train station concourse without usable service.
The Dyson hair dryer in the room was broken.

I paid the hotel bill under reservation of a reduction. The manager on duty had obviously only been there for three weeks and was so inexperienced that she did not even want to confirm this to me, so I had to get a witness that I was only paying under reservation.

10 out of 10! Top shelf!!
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin. The foundation of any successful organization is its people, so that is where I would like to begin.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated exceptionally well by every staff member we encountered. We stayed in Room 450, and the housekeeping team did an impeccable job every single day. Their attention to detail was impressive and greatly appreciated. Thanks to their hard work, our room always felt comfortable, inviting, and spotless. It was such a pleasure to return after a busy day of sightseeing to a clean and orderly room. The evening turndown service was an especially nice touch and added to the luxurious experience.
Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast at Pots. Our server, April, was an absolute delight. She greeted us every day with a warm smile and always had wonderful suggestions for activities and must-see sites around Berlin. We genuinely looked forward to seeing her each morning because her sweet personality and positive energy started our day on exactly the right note. Thank you, April, for taking such wonderful care of us.
Pots offered the best hotel breakfast buffet I have ever experienced. Every dish we tried was excellent and made with the freshest ingredients. I highly recommend the French toast and the truffle eggs Benedict—you can thank me later. The buffet featured everything imaginable, including the largest and flakiest croissants I have ever had (I’m looking at you, Paris). A sincere thank-you to the kitchen staff for such consistently outstanding offerings.
I would also like to extend a special thank-you to Mr. Terry Green. His gregarious personality and wonderful sense of humor kept us laughing throughout our stay. Thank you, Terry, for helping make our visit even more memorable.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful and truly embodies the luxury and elegance synonymous with the Ritz-Carlton brand. Every restaurant, lounge, and public space feels thoughtfully designed, sumptuous, and welcoming. The hotel is exceptionally clean, meticulously maintained, and clearly very well managed.
The location in Potsdamer Platz is another major advantage. The area is vibrant and conveniently located near many of Berlin’s most interesting attractions. There are excellent dining options ranging from fine dining to casual eateries, as well as plenty of shopping opportunities, from luxury boutiques to souvenir stores. Public transportation is just steps from the hotel entrance, making it easy to explore the city, and there is a beautiful nearby park for relaxing or exercising.
I haven’t stopped patting myself on the back for choosing the Ritz-Carlton Berlin. It exceeded every expectation and provided one of the finest hotel experiences I have ever had. I plan on returning to this property again and will continue to sing the praises of this wonderful hotel.

Good location for sightseeing
This world-class luxury hotel is located in front of Potsdamer Platz station, about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport.
It's been more than 20 years since it opened, so the facilities are a bit old but well-cleaned.
There are restaurants, supermarkets and beer bars in the neighborhood.
Very good location for sightseeing.
The rooms are spacious and luxurious.
The bathroom is spacious, but it's a shame that there's only one sink.
Depending on the location of the guest room, there is a neighboring building outside the window with no view.
There are bars in the hotel that stay open until midnight.
The Ritz-Carlton is a luxury hotel all over the world, but for more than 60,000 yen per person per night, Berlin seems like a normal hotel.
Very good to see you on the bed.
Pillow added soft.
No mention of air purifiers.
Disposable slippers available on the field
Bathrobe was voted in on Tuesday.
Electric kettles, they've got a lot going for them.
Coffeemakers have a forehand.
Mineral water is on the way.
No bathtub berth

We had a great time. The staff provided high end customer service. The food was delicious. The staff in the restaurant: Synvia( from Poland 🇵🇱 ) Rony, Daniel( on Sunday) and Sylvia from Berlin) and Rita ( from Colombia) they were Fantastic and deserve recognition.. THANK YOU 👏👏👏👏
