The chain is always good. The Upper West in Berlin is perfect.
Very good hotel, a top location despite the construction sites.
High-quality amenities.

Gone downhill… #Shame

Ugh… Not my first stop at the MO Upper West. However, the hotel has really gone downhill.
Basically, the Upper West is okay.
However, this time there was a very strong smell of a dirty drain in the bathroom, and my colleague's shower head was broken. No repair, no room change possible.
Check-out = drop off key card. The hotel apparently doesn't want any customer contact.
Orange juice at breakfast was lukewarm, meat not refrigerated.

This hotel is beautiful and the foyer, lifts, bar and large roof terrace are stunning. The room was a bit of a disappointment. Because it's so small,there is nowhere to put your clothes. No drawers, wardrobe, shelves or bedside commode. There one very narrow slot in the wall with just enough spaces to hang 3 items, but nowhere to fold and place your clothes. For one person it's absolutely fine, for 2, it's quite a problem. The bathroom was lovely. No kettle in the room. Other than that, it's top notch!

View of the Peace Memorial Church from the 18th floor.

We have always admired the Motel Ones from the outside, so this time we checked in here. We had room number 1834 on the 18th floor (the highest floor). The view was gigantic, directly onto the Peace Memorial Church!
The room itself was super small. We had never had such a small room before.
We had trouble finding a place to open our suitcase (packed for 5 days) since there was virtually no closet for clothes. Additionally, there was so little space that the two of us could not pass each other except in the hallway, in front of the room door. The bathroom and the furnishings of the room looked very good and were also functional, except for the missing wardrobe.
I found the hotel good; however, it is suitable for a maximum of 3 days, rather only 2 days.
