Almost 5-Star
Overall, a great stay at the JW and it lived up to its name brand. Staying for over a week on business. It was both enjoyable and relaxing to come home to the JW. The location is great and accessible to walk bus, etc to the Tiergarten and tourist areas. I did most of my sightseeing walking and it was very accessible for me, also with numerous restaurants close by. The executive lounge was amazing – each breakfast and evening had a wide variety of options with a different theme, especially in the evenings breakfast was hot and cold offerings as well as a whole Asian section, fresh breads and fruits, spreads and egg station as well. The evenings included cold, beer and wine and liquor, which was a nice touch. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint in the lounge was on my last day (May1) I was having some water and relaxing before my flight and the attendant (male) in the late afternoon was basically kicking me out of an empty lounge because he couldn’t find my room number. My bags are being held by the front desk and I had a late checkout as well, I chose to let it go, but it was an unwelcoming feeling. I just attributed it to one bad employee.
As far as the rooms, they were very modern and look like refreshed not too long ago. The bath amenities were very nice. I did book an executive king room and that is the room type I was given. I did not receive any platinum upgrades. There was a bit of confusion at check-in as I was told. I was upgraded to an executive king, but that is the room I had already booked. So I was helpful for an upgrade, but I did not receive this Time being platinum. The rooms were on the smaller side, but I did not spend too much time there are traveling solo. The shower had a movable lever, which didn’t give the best water pressure either. But other than that, the rooms were very well appointed.
It was a shame they spa and fitness center were not open yet after their remodel, but the hotel did give me access to the Marriott Berlin about a 12 minute walk away to use their services. The JW does have a gym on the fourth floor. It was somewhat small and seems temporary as well, but it works and was clean.
Other than the one or two small items of no, it was a great stay modern clean and beautifully appointed hotel with a great lounge. Would look to stay again if in the area.

It was a pleasent stay for a couple of days stay in Berlin, within walking distance of many sights and public transportation. The hotel was beyond our expertations in terms of service, everbody was helpful and kind.
