We truly enjoyed our stay at Classik Hotel Alexander Plaza. Beautiful interiors, a clean and well-equipped gym and spa, friendly staff available around the clock, and a cosy lounge to relax in. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the location made it easy to get everywhere. Highly recommended.

Despite the good location, not recommended for business travelers

I would first like to highlight the clean room and the hotel’s excellent location. Unfortunately, the otherwise positive impression was overshadowed by the completely inadequate internet connection and the disappointing way my complaint was handled.
Several speed tests showed only around 6.99 Mbps download, as little as 0.44 Mbps upload, and a ping of 117 ms. This is not sufficient for reliable video conferences or working through a VPN connection. As I am in Berlin for business and need to participate in important video calls every day, I was unable to spend my working day in the hotel room as planned.
In response to my complaint, the hotel merely stated that a technician had conducted a “general functionality check” and found no issues. However, the hotel was unable to provide any actual measurements for download speed, upload speed, or ping. An internet connection may technically work while still being completely unsuitable for modern professional use.
Despite my documented speed-test results, I was neither offered a working alternative nor allowed to check out early and receive a refund for the unused nights. Apparently, charging me for the entire reservation is more important to the hotel than accommodating a guest who has provided clear evidence of a genuine problem.
I am therefore forced to spend the remaining nights here while having to work from cafés or cafeterias during the day simply to have a reliable internet connection. Truly exemplary customer service, please keep up the good work.

Very nice hotel, in a very convenient location

Very nice hotel, in a very convenient location. Short walk to the Alexanderplatz and the S-bahn that can take you to main Berlin Bahnhof, and from there, anywhere. Lobby is very nice, and hotel includes complimentary sauna. Room was good-size, but apparently we had a "family room", so it was quite large, plenty of space. Air conditioning could be better, but it is Europe. There was confusion at check-in about paying for more people, but the staff was very friendly, and not their fault. Bar was nice with friendly bartender. Breakfast is very expensive, like 30 euro, and nothing special about buffet, definitely skip that.

Wonderful convenient hotel

Excellent hotel. Very convenient for sightseeing, nearby train station, and many nearby restaurants. The room was comfortable for 3 people with foldout bed. All of the front desk staff were very helpful.

Best location.

Very good location for visiting Berlin.
The hotel team was very helpful and friendly.
We traveled with a dog: completely uncomplicated - he was even allowed to join us for breakfast.
Very good breakfast buffet for everyone who is not affected by celiac disease - unfortunately, there is only a very limited gluten-free offering.
