Elegant suite, disappointing breakfast.

I was back at Abion after a long time and this time had a Waterside Suite in the Abion Villa. The location right by the water is very nice and still quiet. The decor is elegant, yet functional. Very pleasant and spacious sanitary area and a good quality bed. What really disappointed me was the breakfast. There was a very diverse selection, but the hot dishes (fried eggs, bacon, sausages) were lukewarm to cold, the sausage offerings were swimming in sweat and looked unappetizing. Unfortunately, that did not round off the overall impression.

Great - can be recommended

The hotel is in a great location and is very well equipped. We had a very large, beautiful room (unfortunately not with a view of the Spree). In the evening there were snacks, coffee, fruit and...port wine downstairs in the dining room or lobby!
If you don't have breakfast at the hotel, there are a few options in the immediate vicinity (organic store LPG offered a great selection of good things).
The last star is missing because of the somewhat high price for our dog to stay overnight (he also had to pay tourist tax - not the hotel's problem).

Unfriendly, disrespectful and false information

Received the wrong room. When we asked, the staff were disrespectful, laughed at us several times, insulted us and then reluctantly gave us the room we had actually booked. Air conditioning in both rooms broken, inside temperature of 27°C. Unfortunately, it couldn't even be regulated by opening the windows.

Perfectly nice business hotel

Decent hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Had a couple of meals there and everything was really tasty.
The rooms are a little dated, but perfectly comfortable and spacious. Mine had a lovely view of the river.
The gym is a bit ropey, but the hotel is in a great spot for running by the river.
Great for a business trip, but probably not somewhere I’d stay for leisure.
