Spend the night in Berlin on the banks of the Spree
A beautiful quiet hotel on the banks of the Spree. By public transport easy to reach , you get on inhofdban Berlin rail towards Spandau and get off stop Bellevue , another 600 m on foot over the Spree and there you have the hotel. Friendly staff, nice rooms, nice breakfast, for evening you can have dinner in the local restaurant Carl & Sophie. It was great.

Great location, good staff but in need of investments
Short on score: three stars until cleaning, interior and airflow brought back to par and thereafter most certainly a charming four star hotel. It hurts giving this fine hotel low score but whilst staff is professional and the location is above average the aged interior where cleanliness and airflow is below par means that a high rating would simply not be fair to other hotels.
Evaluation:
1. Cleanliness and state: as the first room was unclean the hotel was offered a second chance to show their real standards. However, the second room was also below par. Surfaces were covered with visible fine dust (see images), furniture decaying (see images) and not in line with online images. If you are sensitive/ allergy, then due to dust, carpets that likely are dusty and low airflow these rooms might bother. Very low score.
2. Location: the view onto the channel is superior, the hotel is located in a seemingly calm 1980s architecture area, no traffic or other obvious noise pollution. Room reviewed; "superior waterside". Above average score.
3. Service: uniformed, professional and helpful staff who went to great length to solve the challenges we had and defend the hotels reputation. Boutique feeling rather than "polished strict policy high-end training chain". Proper language skills. However, below average response-time on email and two automatic 'on-sell emails' sent. On-sell can feel pushy to some and is not common at the four stars I've seen. Self registration on it-tablets, whilst receptionist is watching, does reduce score. Score average thanks to the front desk staff.
4. Value: seemingly slightly lower price than other nearby four star hotels which is correct given the state. But, add 30EUR and other hotels will deliver more modern and less dusty interior. Below average.
In conclusion: this hotel has potential and there is obvious ambition both from staff and interior design. There are things that need attention, some simple and some that call for investments. I would though not advise against this hotel but I cannot sign that its four stars just right now.

Second time here, live the hotel and location. It’s not super central but beautiful and very accessible. I will be back!

Big disappointment
We spent 4 days at the Hotel Abion Spreebogen. The location, right on the Spree, is unique, and the breakfast offers almost the same quality as we are used to.
However, there are things that are simply not appropriate for the quality it claims to have.
There was no wardrobe in our room. The bathtub was too high for us to get into. In the morning, around 5 a.m., we were woken up by the delivery, and throughout the night, we were accompanied by the sound of the generators. At the end of our stay, we also discovered flea bites on our bodies. Everyone can judge this hotel for themselves.

Abion Spreebogen
We were there for a weekend. The reception was very friendly and professional. The room was big enough, the bed very good and not saggy. The bathroom was OK, but you have to shower in the bathtub which is somewhat uncomfortable. Cleanliness was good. Unfortunately we could not regulate the air conditioning, no matter what you set, it was always very cold and on top of that it was noisy all night. We had booked with breakfast but did not eat anything because the rolls were rock hard and you had to line up everywhere (I don't even want to start on the behavior of individual guests) overall very unhygienic. The coffee mugs and tea glasses were dirty. So we will not come back.
