Ideal!

Very large property in downtown Toronto, a stone's throw (literally) from the stops of two streetcar lines, about 500 meters from the subway, and 50 meters from a large and very well-stocked supermarket. Access is possible only if you have a key card; there are many common areas (in the lobby there are a pool table, two ping pong tables, a foosball table), on the second floor a laundry room, the gym, a study room, and a cinema room; on the other floors, rooms for board games, video games, terraces, and common kitchens... breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in very flexible time slots, and the menu is always varied and suitable for every type of need. The rooms are adequate and clean. The staff is truly very kind and helpful.

the place is terrible they don't care about tenants at all the managers just sit a around doing nothing , food is good tho

Bad building, bad rooms and bad management

Horrible, homeless screaming in front of the building. The AC and vents are not working very well which created some mold around the window. I saw some rats running around the lobby which is very dirty. The building is also very poorly managed. The only positive thing about this place is Peter the security guard at the front desk.

Prime location

This is a mix of student residence and hotel guestrooms. Not bad for the price if you are looking for a place to just rest your head for the night (no TV inside guestroom). The location is great since you are between Jarvis & Church St. Parking inside the garage is a bit challenging - I would suggest leaving your vehicle inside once parked. All in all I would stay here again!

Rooms for disabled not very practical

I should start by saying that I am able-bodied, but was given a room with a disabled sign outside. I found enough inconveniences that I really wondered how accommodating someone in a wheelchair would find it.
I'll start with the bed: it was pretty high, with a mattress that could fairly easily slip off the base. Also, the mattress itself was covered in a vinyl-like material, with just the bottom sheet on top. This felt uncomfortable, so I got a couple of spare towels and put them underneath, which helped a lot.
Lighting: other than the light by the entrance door (and the light in the bathroom) the only source of light was a tiny lamp on a tall table on the opposite side from the bed. So you're faced with turning out the light and then manoeuvering in the dark into bed. I can't imagine this would be much fun in a wheelchair. Plus it's not very safe to have no source of light beside one's bed if you have to get out of bed in the middle of the night. (Not to mention it being difficult to read in bed!) I solved this problem by moving the bed over a bit and then moving the table with the lamp on it so it was beside the bed. (Apologies for forgetting to put things back the way they were...)
Climate control: the controls for the heat and a/c (which was a bit overenthusiastic - I had to ask for an extra blanket) were beside the entry door and not at wheelchair height.
The bathroom: no counter space of any sort, just a sink. It was annoying enough for me to have to go back and forth to retrieve toiletries. Imagine doing this in a wheelchair. The shower was nice and roomy, with lots of grab bars, and a seat and a hand-held shower. But there were no ledges anywhere to put shampoo etc. I ended up putting soap and shampoo on the seat.
Keep in mind that this a private student residence - I cannot imagine being disabled and having to live in that room for several weeks or longer.
On a positive note: lovely staff, and great breakfast!
