Very nice, close to Umeda station
A little pricey (10,000 Yen or $100 usd per night - but it was a holiday weekend - the rate went down to $80/night during the week) but nice location (about 5 min from Umeda station). Very spacious room with everything you need. neighborhood is pretty lively too

Convenient for sightseeing in "Kita".
I was looking for a hotel within walking distance of Osaka (Umeda) Station and chose this one. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the station you get off at and the walking route (including whether you go above ground or through the underground mall). It is located at the western end of the shopping street called "Park Avenue Doyama", and there are many restaurants around (including some that are more on the sex industry side). Nakazakicho, which has recently become popular for its nostalgic atmosphere, is also nearby.
I don't think it's that new, but the building as a whole was well cleaned and there was no shortage of facilities and equipment in the room. The unit bath in particular was clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. I also liked the fact that there was a door between the front room and the bedroom.
I was planning to have a breakfast set at the cafe corner, but it was closed the next day. They were happy to store my luggage after I checked out.
It can't be helped given the location, but I heard some noise outside the window late at night.

Easy access
Had one night sleep in this hotel, we arrived late at Osaka station and it was good that the hotel is just nearby. But on the way to the Hotel, we felt it's more like a backstreet or red light district, maybe I'm wrong, but the street in the night made me feel that way. We could hear ppl from the street at night time. The room was average, check-in and out was easy enough. Good location and close to shops.

Small but clean and a good value for your $
Quite utilitarian but that's all we were looking for. It was a very good price and also very clean and quiet. The breakfast of thick toast and egg and coffee was a good value (I see someone previous also mentioned that). It's just a nice place to sleep at night, shower and leave to go sightseeing without spending tons of money. Staff didn't speak English but still made sure I got a fax that was sent to me. I'd stay here again, because I'd rather spend more money on tasting all the great food Osaka has to offer! P.S. it was easy to walk to a lot of places from here.

Average city hotel
The good thing was the breakfast of coffee boiled egg and toast for 315 yen otherwise the hotel was just a simple city hotel. There was no free internet.
