A Native Experience

I had a very good experience at this hotel. The native hotel is at an excellent location overlooking the airport and the Caribbean ocean. It is very dated. The food at the restaurant on the property was well prepared and very tasty. If you want to be near the airport (like I did) you can literally walk to it because it is that close. There was noise from the airport when I stood outside but when I closed the window it was fine. Accommodations were just adequate. Staff friendly for the most part.

HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL

I stayed here due to a cancelled flight and my experience was THEE WORSE! The front desk was unproessional to say the least! The WIFI DIDN'T WORK, and when I went to the front desk to inquire, they had an attitude! After a few minutes, one of the workers came to fix it and it was fine. Initially, I asked if I could have a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, and the OLD HAGG at the front desk told me I was lucky to EVEN GET A ROOM! WTF!! There were little bugs flying throughout the room and I was uncomfortable! The room was sorta clean but they could have done better! The view was nice, but who cares about that when your room SUCKS! BEWARE WHEN BOOKING THIS PLACE!!

Sports bar

Don't bother if your an English football fan they don't put it on or can't be bothered, not really a sports bar, did not show Scotland v Ireland or England v germany.
Only good if you want 24 hour drinking

Receptionist rude.. dirty room.. thin bed

The receptionist is very nasty and rude.. dirty room.. no restaurant or places to eat within a mile.. they have night reggae bash by the pool loud and obnoxious music.. no sleep.. very minimal place.. across street uphill from MBJ airport

RUDE RECEPTIONIST

On this day October 6, 2019 at 6pm searching for a hotel where I could check in later at 11pm, I parked at the bus stop at Queen's Avenue near the university establishment. In the vicinity there was the entrance of Hotel Montego bearing a billboard details such as telephone numbers.I rang one of the numbers and got to a receptionist.
Whoever she was she was absolutely rude, coarse, crass and disrespectful having no sense of telephone etiquette and customer service. I asked her if they do late night walk in check in. , to which she responded yes. Not knowing I was parked at the gate she proceeded to give me details of how to get to the hotel. I told her I was aware of that. Anyhow all I needed to know was what to do if the gate was padlocked ( several times driving by I have witnessed that the gate was padlocked). She was unable to give me an answer, getting angry at me, accusing me of yelling, while she blocked her mind to my question. All this woman was telling me was the address for the gate. I was parked at the gate all this time and did not need that info. I tried to clarify she shut me up saying two persons were not supposed to talk simultaneously. All I needed to know was would there be a person at the gate to let in visiting cars. If not what should we do? Call the number? She was not listening! How ridiculous! So I chuckled. The lady said I was laughing at her. How presumptuous. I tried to get across some understanding of my query to her. The Lady of the HOUSE said I was getting upset. And oh she retaliated by getting angry with me. In her mind tit for tat! Readers should I spend my money at this crap of a place? Hell no!
I swear I was calm to the lady answering the phone using a beckoning tone to have my query answered. However her defensiveness and apparent hallucination would not afford her any amicable conduct!
As a matter of fact my last comment before she hanged up on me rudely was I do not need Hotel Montego's service because she had no manners and sense of Customer.

And oh boy...she hanged right up on me.
I dare say to the management of that motel that is unacceptable. Extremely rude and stupid.
Whoever she was working on this day October 6, 2019 at 6pm at the front desk, please give her a talk. She is out of order and childish to think of it.
