Good cost benefit with nice service in Reykjavik

Amazing stay! Room was really clean, comfortable bed and private with curtains , lamp and plugs. Special thanks to Jackie who helped us during our stay!
I also used the kichen which was fully equipped

Pros: close to downtown. Bar downstairs. Multiple bathrooms and shower. Good WiFi.
Cons: hard to find parking. Hard to find room. Staff of little help. No towel for shower. Curtains on beds were terrible and falling off.

Was a bit difficult to find at first but easy to access. And free parking!! I also loved the variety of kitchen supplies! The only downside that I had was initially being assigned to room 1 (both on my email confirmation and upon the self check in). I ‘claimed’ my bed and left for a reservation. When I returned, the room was fully ‘claimed’ leaving no bed for me. Thankfully staff was on site at the time and said that it was a group who wanted to stay in the same room. They ended up moving me to another room, which is no big deal, but what if staff wasn’t there to assist with the change?

Better sleep in a tent

Last night in Iceland we book this Hostel which already proves difficult to find as it is located outside the center (we knew), in an industrial area and on the first floor of a building. There are no signs on the ground floor except for a faded sign. We enter with an entrance code and meet directly in the kitchen with other guests eating dinner. Crossing the kitchen we finally arrive in the 8-bed dorm room, which however is separated from another dorm room only by a curtain, so it's like staying in a dorm! In addition we had numbered seats, but when we arrived the other guests had already taken the best seats because someone (there being no reception we do not know who) had said that everyone chose his place. Mah! However, the worst comes at night, with guests snoring in a room too small. Result we did not sleep a wink and arrived at the airport tired. We slept other nights in a tent and despite the difficulties (rain and wind), it is definitely better, at least you do not spend € 125 for two beds and then not be able to sleep!
