Clean and cosy

Location is excellent just a walk down the road and in the bustle of Dublin all the pubs and all the pick up for trips over liffy 5 mins away, and definitely book with breakfast included its amazing best fry up ive had away cant fault the place to be fair will definitely us again when we come back

Solo trip

This location is the spot to stay in is very clean staff amazing always willing to help in a pinch I have stayed here many times worth the money to stay beds are to die in so comfy breakfast is filling would say 10 across the board for staying here in future

Have used this hotel on many an occasion and have to say great location and always had a good time,
Special mention to the receptionists who I found extremely friendly and very good at what they do .

Flop: Room dated, difficult shower, inadequate window system, miserable lighting, poor mattresses

Not a single drop of water could be coaxed from the shower in my room. The whole apparatus took a lot of getting used to; you would have needed training to be able to understand all the adjustment screws, etc. After my complaint at the reception, I thought later that it still wasn't working. With a final effort, I then managed to get the shower working.
The room is okay, but looks quite dated. There is no closet, only a rather dusty shelf.
The ancient window latch is also almost falling apart; the window offers absolutely no soundproofing function despite the loud exhaust air and street. Compared to other hotels on the trip, a clear descent into the depths. If you wanted to open or close the window, you had to push in two levers and turn them at the same time, with the second position being at a height of 2m. So many people cannot manage that at all – an impossible situation!
The bedside light was so extremely weak that it might as well have been non-existent. It is impossible to read a text, as it is more of a weak nightlight than a bedside light.
The bedding kicks up an extreme amount of dust, which does not exactly suggest cleanliness.
Even at 11:45 p.m. it is extremely loud because a car drives through every few minutes. Already before 5 a.m. the very loud seagulls wake you up, the traffic is rolling again – an extremely short night!
The curtains are too short at the bottom: they let in so much light that sleeping in is out of the question.
It was the worst bed quality of the entire trip, I had back pain in the morning for the first time.
Conclusion: A flop. As a group, we seem to have received the worst, oldest rooms (partly triple rooms without any charm). The carpet is glued into the laminate, which creates a painful edge if you are walking around barefoot or in socks.
The breakfast was, in keeping with the general impression, the most modest of the entire trip. There was only pre-packaged Dutch cheese (Edam, Gouda)—and that in the land of Irish cheese?? Seeds etc.: No such luck, the toaster did not work properly. We were separated from the regular hotel guests and likely had a worse selection available to us than they did. At the very least, the tables were set more nicely for the hotel guests and there was a check of who was coming to breakfast, which we considered unnecessary given the meager selection.

Good location, pity about the building works

Location is great and rooms in hotel are decent size. Big down side to this stay was the building works outside room window, we were woken at 745 - when I complained to check in the reception really couldn’t have cared less and just said ‘they’re meant to start at 10’. It should say on website that there’s building works, so people make informed choice of whether to stay or not.
