Peaceful stay.

An unexpected home stay in place like Dimapur. Minimalist, peaceful, super clean, comfortable bed, clean toilet and good food. Our experience also had a different dimension as It was a place of delight for my 8 year old. He had observed many wildlife. First time he saw field of fireflies, colourful lizards and different species of birds. The bright yellow/orange paint, outside of the house attracted multiple flies, moths, katydid, grasshoppers and geckos next to safety light. What a live observation station it was for him!
We enjoyed the hospitality, authentic home made food and a place with hand on my heart, enjoyed our stay here.

Its Home

The rooms were very spacious and had a beautiful decor themed after Naga culture. The bamboo couches, hanging plants, a beautiful kitchen and rooms overlooking a field was everything I imagined my holiday to be.

Home away from home

A place where I end up when I need some peace and pampering. Perfect place to start your journey into the hinterland and most definitely the place to stay before departing this engaging and fascinating place.
Annie is a wonderful, passionate host. You are in safe, knowledgable hands at Lomgchen!

Perfect for a home stay

Situated 15-20 mins away from the airport in the Aoyimti village. Accessible by car but the roads are under construction. The premise has a paddy field, pond, 4 beautiful dogs, well maintained garden etc. Rooms are well decorated and provided with all the amenities like chappals, soaps, shampoos, mosquito repellents (highly necessary), towels, tea, coffee, cups, water, glasses, coat hangers, mirror etc. The dining space is innovative and the food prepared tastes like home. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Cleanliness is top notch. Hot water is available 24*7. There’s no TV attached in the rooms. So after dark; i.e. after 6 there is nothing really to do. There are not many shops around this place as well. But definitely a place to come back to.

A delightful and comfortable homestay

Our very first time in the north east and we had a pit stop in Dimapur before heading to Kohima, we chose longchen homestay run by Annie.
We were given the woodpecker cottage.
It was a beautiful, relaxed stay. The cottage is very well done, small details make the place perfect.
Complete with hot water, a dining area, a open balcony and great food.
Good job Annie!
