Quirky creative stay in Tbilisi
Quirky hotel that makes you feel like you have stepped into the Soviet era as this used to be a publishing house at the time. The architecture, design and creativity of keeping the original structure while modernizing the interiors is really cool. Love the abundant use of books everywhere including the rooms, as an important design element. Our stay was comfortable, room was very cute, restaurant has a nice vibe and staff is helpful. Definitely reccomend it as a unique creative stay option during a visit to Tbilisi. Close to subway and easy to get a bolt.

Amazing venue and room. Service. Don’t expect very much at all.
Stamba hotel is truly amazing. It is in the centre of Tbilisi and is in a huge, stunning building - previously a publishing house / printing works. It must have been such a challenge to create the beautiful shared space for restaurants, bars, shops, offices and hotels.
Our truly memorable room was large and very comfortable. Beneath our room was a bar and an open amphitheatre. Some of our nights were very noisy until about 2:00 am. On one night it rained. So no one was sitting outside the Bar getting drunk, having fun. Perfect peace.
My advice is to really enjoy your room, enjoy the environment, enjoy the architecture. It will be unforgettable.
The Stamba hotel was described to us as 5 star. Yes, the room was 5+ star. The food was hugely disappointing though - 3 star - and the service - words fail me. 2 star if I’m being exceedingly generous.
Staff were usually very friendly. But unfortunately often failed to deliver on time, to an acceptable quality. For example, our hugely disappointing / uneatable breakfast was 45 minutes late. And several items we had ordered were missing. You have to leave the order card outside by 6:00am. The hotel explained they needed preparation time. 2hrs 45 mins seems rather a long time.
The hotel occupies different parts of the building. Signage is very, very limited / poor. It is not always obvious if you are in the hotel or in a public space. Reception is in an open area and is not easily found (depending where you are coming from). We never found a hotel lounge area, except at an entrance which was used by everyone in the building. Anyone can walk down the corridors which contain the bedrooms.
It must be very difficult to manage the hotel and to get all the staff lined up / signed up, especially as local people often prefer to work outside Georgia.
Would we stay there again? Yes. Because of the stunning building and bedrooms. But we won’t expect much more. We can highly recommend Zala Restaurant instead - just up the road - for an amazing environment, excellent staff, and very tasty food. So win win. Enjoy …

Very good
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The design is absolutely stunning, with beautiful interiors and great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, professional, and provided excellent service throughout our stay.
There are just a couple of things that could be improved. The shower didn’t work very well. Also, there isn’t a well-lit area with a mirror for doing makeup, which would be a great addition.
Overall, it’s an amazing hotel, and we would definitely recommend it.

A bad start to my trip
This was my second stay at Samba and it was so disappointing to say the least. It took 30 minutes to check in, the room i was checked in smelt so bad but I was given no choice as the hotel was full. Couldn't sleep at night because my room was right over the bar area with loud music that lasted till 2:30 am . Complained and was moved the next day to another room with a horrendous loud AC, was moved again and managed to sleep , however my mum had a rough night and couldn't sleep a wink coz her room was just as bad. The breakfast was awful, a dry omelette that tasted like sand paper ! I requested a refund for one of the rooms and they refused! What a shame! My first stay at this place 4 years ago was exceptional , however things have clearly changed! the staff seem ill trained and short staffed, and it seems the place is falling apart from bad maintenance...

Greta hotel if you manage to see it
A super cool hotel but the designer wanted a very dark ambience. Therefore, it is very hard to see in several parts of the hotel, like reception, the room hallways, the atm machine. But it is the major happening hotel in Tbilisi.
