Hosted by an excellent & thoughtful gentleman!

This hostel was a lot of fun surrounded by good people and good vibes. down at the amazing beach at dusk I drove my scooter wheel over some barbwire :( I had only just met Bryce on the beach briefly, but when he saw my dilemma he hoisted my motorcycle into his truck and we went to get a late night fix with some local mechanics. this was a princely move and remains as a shimmering memory of service. staying at the hostel was like a great dream. there are lots of super boardgames, the rooms are comfy and I lucked out with making friends with several awesome travellers as well. overall this hostel kicks ass. if you have a way down the steep hill to the coast the beach there is definitely the best closest beach to the Capital/Puerto Princessa. easy to spend a few days making your self at home. thanks to all the great people and elements at B&R hostel! may your existence last many a moon!! a safe haven that welcomes many!!

What a fantastic hostel!

Absolutely wonderful hostel!! Can’t say enough good things about my stay there. Friendly, clean, great food and AC was fantastic! If you’re thinking of staying here you definitely should. The incredibly beautiful Nagtabon beach is just a short walk away! Rent scooters and enjoy a day there. Don’t miss out on this gem of a hostel! The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Perfect location for the Adventurous Traveler

Situated at the crossroad that leads beach enthusiasts and hikers towards Nagtabon and Talaudyong, this friendly resort is the perfect place to stay if you don’t want to be commuting an hour back and forth from Puerto Princesa.
I can not stress the word FRIENDLY enough. Most places make you feel like a stranger in a strange place, but here you instantly feel as if the owners and staff are your long time friends. The restaurant and bar provides a great refreshing scene for hikers and travelers to share their adventures with one another. The food offers a refreshing combination of Asian, American, and even European dishes.
One suggestion: call and book in advance, because this place is quickly becoming popular and from time to time is fully booked.
Also: rent a car or motorcycle. You’ll enjoy the freedom of your travels in this beautiful ocean and Mountain View area much more.

Great place for backpackers and surfers!

Insanely good stay! Bryce, Recel and everyone at the hostel looked after me from first contact. Organised an affordable taxi from puerto princesa airport and onwards, a van to Port Barton.
Food and drink available at affordable prices so you don’t need to travel. Super clean, beds have curtains, AC and lockers.
Beach is a short walk away - 15-20 min but you can usually get a lift from the locals. The beach is amazing to chill and surf. Really fun 2-3ft waves.
Couldn’t recommend more!

Best Hostel in Nagtabon

This Hostel was our first place to stay in Palawan Island. My friend has been there before and he came back to B&R. Owners are so kind and helpfull. Even the beach is behind one hill its not problem to go there. You can rent a bike or ask a ride from Price.
Dorm room is clean and its in good condition. Toilets are clean. This place almost feel like cottage because there is so silent around the place. I warmly recommend.
