Indeed we were able to benefit from the advice of Abdul to discover Luxor and its surroundings.
Notably the aerial discovery in balloon of Luxor (time allowed us to live this incredible experience)!
Rich in knowledge and anecdotes about the city I highly recommend this hotel in a warm and pleasant setting, both for families, friends or backpackers!

We paid but could not stay, Booking did not refund us
we could not be accommodated for lack of water, but instead of warning us in time they came to pick us up and took us to a remote place in the middle of nowhere in a house under construction, of course we refused to stay at that place, we asked to be taken to Luxor and we had to find another accommodation. We reported the inconvenience to booking but 'could not contact the property and we were not even refunded, really an unpleasant surprise to find that Booking offers accommodation of such a low standard, to keep in mind for the future

For backpackers who want to experience Luxor and Egypt outside the resorts
Family stay in this youth hostel in Luxor at the end of December.
It is located right next to the station in a street parallel to Station Avenue which gives access to the Luxor temple. 5 minutes walk from the Nile Corniche where there are quite a few restaurants. You also have a small supermarket, a distributor and a bakery right next door... and the souk for tourists.
This is a simple and very clean family hostel.
We stayed in 2 rooms on 2 floors: 1 room with 2 single beds and 1 room with 3 single beds. There are blankets and in December it is useful. Bath towels are provided. There is a basic bathroom on each floor with a sink, shower and WC. It is regularly cleaned. The rooms face either the street side or the internal staircase. It remains a city building, so with the noise of the city but it didn't bother us.
As an added bonus, there is a roof terrace where there are tables and benches. No magnificent view (just of the other buildings on the street) but you can enjoy the sun and the evenings. This is where breakfasts are served (cakes, tea, honey, cheese and seasonal fruit – super good clementines for us!). You can pay with Egyptian pounds, but they prefer if you can pay in euros. Not all members of the family speak English but things are going well: we always manage to understand each other!

Luxor nice hotel
İt was a great hotel there is a air conditioner it is really good for the Egyptians hot also the owner Abdul is a really nice kind trustable man it is really close to everywhere they don't scam you it is authentic Egypt hospital i recommend you to come here

Super New Owner!
The hostel has a lovely owner who wants to make your stay the best it can possibly be!
The new female owner is making wonderful improvements to the hostel, and her staff is willing to meet all your needs. (Beware: Unfortunately, some locals on the street try to talk you out of staying at the hostel by telling untruthful stories.) This hostel is reasonably priced.
Breakfast was hot, and the eggs were good! Bread, tea, can coffee are served, but there are not other choices.
It is in the perfect location for the sites! It was so great to always find our hostel not far away after a long hot day of sightseeing. The staff can make arrangements for tours, tickets, and transportation.
The owner's young son is ready to help and is extremely strong. He carried our suitcases up several flights of stairs (no elevator). Being the last stop on our trip, we had plenty of weight from souvenir shopping too.
The shower was not enclosed in our particular room, and the water seeped out the bathroom door a little bit. A towel took care of it!
