A beautiful historic oasis near the main station that combines strong genius loci with peaceful privacy,

I was charmed by my executive room and the beautiful First Republic atmosphere of Hotel Esplanade. Located right by the main train station (Hlavní nádraží), everything is incredibly close and accessible. However, do not expect a busy rush or over-the-top modern luxury, the hotel offers a peaceful, old-world retreat. The hotel itself is gorgeous, though with a little more effort and fine-tuning, it could easily become something even more exceptional. A wonderful stay with huge potential.

Not recommended for vegans or disabled

The hotel is indeed beautiful and most of the staff is very friendly.
The room and bathroom is big and the bed extremely good to sleep in.
The breakfast is however a disaster when you are vegan. I asked the staff which of the bread might be vegan and the waiter brought me 3 tiny slices of dry and boring gluten free bread with nothing to put on it at all. I 'm not allergic to gluten at all and I suspect the waiter misunderstood me, since many in Prague know nothing about what vegan food is.
I didn't eat anything, just had the coffee, which was quite good.
They do have soy milk if you ask for it but I don't trust their cereals to be vegan. There are no fresh vegetables at all (only a salad with cheese) and the only fresh fruit was watermelon with tons of seeds.
The hotel is not recommended for disabled people due to stairs even to the elevator.

Room was nice and clean.
breakfast was boring and the bar closed at 5 PM - so not really useful

The hotel was beautiful, very close to the train station and old town, and very well maintained. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were extremely welcoming! Highly recommend.
