flexibility, and excellent service
I had originally booked a one-week stay, but due to a last-minute flight change, I needed to modify my reservation. The staff were very accommodating and allowed me to make the change without charging any penalties, which I truly appreciated.

The hotel that should not exist
It is completely incomprehensible that this hotel is rated 3.5.
Breakfast is not served at the hotel but at another hotel. The door to our room barely opened. TV was available but no channels, nor internet so it was not possible to download eg Netflix. Cleaning so terribly lousy, the mattress full of stains. Dirty bathroom. None of the pictures on Tripsadvisor show what it looks like today. Room neighbour had bed bugs and was bitten during the night. The front desk refused to release the phone numbers of the manager. The sunbeds had thick mattresses that besides being dirty were also broken. There were no glasses in the room but we got plastic glasses. Too bad Tripadvisor doesn't accept video, as I filmed my wife trying to open the door.

HORRIBLE
The hotel can be described with one word: horrible. Bedbug infested hellhole.
I knew as soon as I stepped into the room that this was a utter disgrace of a hotel. I didn’t even bother to stay in the room for 5 minutes and booked another hotel, with my request of a refund pending at this moment.
The first thing that meets your eye in the room is stained sheets and curtains. Dirty beds and after further inspection under the bed there were signs of bedbugs, blood stains and dead bugs.
The staff were arrogant and bitter.
The pool water was murky and looked like dishwater.
Anyone who respects themselves wouldn’t stay at this hotel. It was below any standard I’ve ever seen before. Stay far far far away, I’d rather sleep on the beach to be perfectly honest.

Please don’t book
This is the worse place ever booked for 6 nights only stayed for 2
Got into the room smelling of sick yellow pillows and stained bedding.
The doors have never been painted from 1975 and the plumbing looks like a 4 year old has fixed it
The taps have never been cleaned and have lime scale all over them .
The only positive thing I could say is the owner should set the place a light and claim on the insurance and rebuild the hotel as this is not fair for people to stay in and can not believe that booking. Com advised this place. Please don’t take my word on this place but if you stay here make sure you have a tetanus injection before arrival

Disappointing
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. In all honesty, it felt much more like a tired motel than the hotel it claims to be.
Don't be fooled by the brochure or website photos. They must have been taken when the hotel first opened, and I'm sure it was lovely back then, but unfortunately those days are long gone.
On arrival, the gentleman at reception took my details but there was no real welcome or introduction. Nothing was explained about breakfast, the facilities, or even the fact that there was a swimming pool—I only discovered that afterwards. It would have been nice to know what was actually available during our stay.
The room my 7-year-old and I were given was far from inviting. While it appeared to be clean, it certainly didn't have the feel or standard of a hotel room. There was no lock on the internal door, the safe didn't have a lock either (which rather defeats the purpose of having a safe), and the mini fridge had been switched off. Unfortunately, when we opened it, we were greeted by mould and an unpleasant smell—not exactly the warm welcome we'd hoped for. The bathroom was so tired and run down that I genuinely half expected to see a cockroach wander out from under the bath.
Another odd policy was that guests aren't allowed to take their room key when leaving the hotel. I've stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was certainly a first.
The communal lounge wasn't any more inviting. The sofas were torn, the whole area had a rather dated smell that reminded me of a care home, and the atmosphere was anything but welcoming. The staff seemed to have mastered the art of making eye contact before promptly walking away without saying a word. I almost wondered if saying "hello" incurred an extra charge.
We had originally booked to stay for four nights, but after seeing the condition of the hotel and experiencing the lack of hospitality, we decided not to stay and found alternative accommodation instead. It's very rare for us to abandon a booking, but on this occasion it was absolutely the right decision.
This hotel has the potential to be lovely again with significant investment and a much warmer approach to customer service, but in its current state I simply couldn't recommend it.
