Good

Hotel in the city center and minutes away on foot from the Grand Place. Welcoming and friendly staff. We stayed as a group of 3 from August 11 to 17 in a room on the top floor, which was excellently served by the elevator. Good breakfast included in the price. Greetings to Ben and Selma.

Mozart Hotel Brussels is a Disaster

Please steer clear of this place. Nothing works, pictures are much better than the actual place and staff doesn’t care if you have issues.

We loved this hotel in the centre of Brussels. Quirky and fun with a whole lot of personality you wouldn't find in a chain. We arrived early and very much appreciated early access to our room too. The hotel served cakes and sweet treats that unfortunately we didn't get chance to try but looked amazing. Recommended!

The hotel cancelled my booking 4 days before travel

Can I give zero stars? (or circles, in TripAdvisors case)
I would advise against booking this place, I booked in February, to stay in June for VariousVoices choir festival, and four days before I travelled to Brussels, the hotel cancelled my booking, at first claiming it was at my own request (it wasn't) and then saying "the hotel is too busy and your room won't be ready". They also told me they had a different (unnamed) hotel I could phone up to book, and asked me to send them an email requesting this phone number.
In short, they had willingly overbooked. I had to book a different hotel with 4 days notice and it cost £705 more than I had paid originally. Fortunately, I eventually managed to get Hotels.com to reimburse the difference in the form of Hotels.com Cash, but it has all been a rather stressful saga.
There was also an incident in May, in which I received a very suspicious whatsapp message with my full name and correct booking dates, telling me that my reservation was pending and asking me to click a very sketchy link to confirm or it may be released. I screencapped, blocked the number, and contacted the hotel via the Hotels.com message platform but they didn't reply, so I contacted H.com customer service, who of course advised me not to click the link, and contacted on my behalf. The hotel claimed not to have sent that whatsapp message, but after my booking WAS cancelled I am sceptical of that.
Altogether, their business practises are negligent at best, actively scammy at worst.

The definition of an "okay" hotel. A little old, very dusty with an awkward layout. Not recommended if you can't do stairs (our room had stairs on the inside the room as well as being located in the middle of a stairwell).
But it's charmingly themed and very very central.
