4star+ hotel in great location
Perfect location -overlooking Hyde park and 5 minutes walk from George street( which is the main street and where you can catch trams easily ( tap on/ off with your credit card is the easiest way to pay).Reception is gorgeous and staff are helpful - check-in /out were very quick.
Higher rooms are quieter & have the better views.
The outdoor pool and small spa are on the roof next to the gym- there is also a sauna & a shower ( open until' 11pm).
Rooms are well equipped - inc iron, hairdryer, small fridge, small selection of tea/ coffee etc and are very comfortable - many are quite old but the hotel have started to refurbish- and most importantly modernise adding walk in showers.
I took off a star as had a need, due to injury/ disability ,for a walk in shower and found that there are extra charges - didn't think that paying extra was fair- is this the same in other hotels for people who are unable to get in a bath? After discussion the extra fee was waived- of course if I'd known there was a shower by the pool I could use it would have been fine.
There are a few design issues in the ´accessible ' room as the shower runs off in front of the toilet which is a slip issue if you go to the toilet later & a 'night light' in the bathroom would be really useful.
Next to the hotel is a small convenience store and just around the corner there are restaurants and nightlife in the next street so you don't have to go far if you don't want to to.
I had looked at other nearby Accor hotels before booking and I had a look around in a couple whilst I was there- The Pullman is by far superior to the others and overall I'm glad I booked it.

Housekeeping needs improvement
Stayed here July 9–12, 2026. The room was not properly dusted—found a lot of dust on the coffee machine, lamp, and furniture ledges. Housekeeping quality definitely needs to be upgraded for a 5-star hotel.

Good Hotel in Great Location
I have recently had another stay this property. Once again the service was faultless from the friendly checkin to efficient checkout. The staff at reception were just so friendly and always had big smiles and truly seemed that it was a delight to be helping you. The rooms are very large, the beds comfortable but the bathroom especially is showing its age ( hence taking one stat away).
A great location over looking Hyde Park and an easy walk to most places in Sydney central. I will stay here again without hesitation and look forward to my next stay!

Avoid - Charging an extra $700 for a confirmed stay
0 stars if I could.
Reserved a NYE stay in January for $500 and now, more than 6 months later, the hotel is asking for an additional $700 ($1200 in total) to "retain" my reservation. By this point, I have already booked non-refundable flights for this stay.
My emails have not been responded to and, when I called, the hotel was not willing to provide contact details for anyone in management.
Changing the price of a confirmed booking completely defeats the purpose of booking early. This has seriously damaged my trust of not only this hotel but the Accor brand in general.

Very poor standard
Have stayed at other Pullman Hotels and saw them as an upmarket option in the Accor group. Hyde park was not that. The rooms was very basic and it was allegedly a Suite. Decor was awful. Towels poor quality and pretty much nothing extra. TV was slow to the point of being unusable.
Checkin was slow and frustrating and having to provide a physical credit card when I had already provided online was a joke.
Basically over priced and not to the standard I expected. Will never stay again.
