Very beautiful boutique hotel ideally located to best visit Venice.

What a wonderful room to call home for a few days. We arrived early and the staff held our bags for ua to explore. When we returned to get our room, our bags were already waiting for us in the room — nice touch. The location was beautiful from the little alcove ok the canal to the courtyard eating area, and to the beautiful large room overlooking the canal. We had lots of space for us and our two teens. Air conditioning worked well and breakfast was good with good coffee:) all in all, we will stay here again on our return to Venice.

We absolutely loved our stay. This hotel is full of original character. The room was nice, clean and a good size. The air condition worked well. Marco was very welcoming on arrival and all staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was lovely. We took the public taxi boat from the airport and got off at Ospadale stop. Not far to walk. We got lost a few times when we had been out and about but its all part of the Venice experience. Google maps are a must! Very good location for walking to all areas. Nice quiet location. The bed was very comfortable. One tip for venice and other parts of Italy we visited, take insect repellent!! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Do not book!!!
I don't know where to start... The condition of the room was life-threatening!!! There was supposedly no other free to switch?! My husband broke his hip in this room because he got stuck on an unattached dirty carpet runner, tripped and fell! See photos The bathroom is especially nice and instead 170€ a night! None of this interested the operator of the Locanda...

wir sind zutiefst überrascht über Ihre Bewertung mit solch extremen und beleidigenden Untertönen. Die Unterkunft als „lebensbedrohlich“ zu bezeichnen, ist eine sehr schwerwiegende Anschuldigung und steht in keinem Verhältnis zu den Tatsachen.
Wir bedauern den Vorfall, der Ihrem Mann widerfahren ist, zutiefst. Es ist jedoch ungerechtfertigt, die Verantwortung ohne objektive Überprüfung automatisch der Unterkunft zuzuschreiben. Der Teppich im Zimmer hatte, wie in vielen historischen venezianischen Häusern, nie Probleme bereitet, und wir haben auch keine ähnlichen Beschwerden von anderen Gästen erhalten.
Die Aussage, dass es uns „egal“ gewesen sei, ist ebenfalls falsch und ungerechtfertigt: Wir haben uns während Ihres Aufenthalts trotz Ihres aggressiven Tons gegenüber den Mitarbeitern nach Kräften bemüht, Ihnen zu helfen.
Unser Gasthof befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäude im Herzen Venedigs und wird jedes Jahr von Hunderten von Gästen für seinen authentischen Charme, seine Sauberkeit und seine Lage geschätzt. Die veröffentlichten Fotos zeigen bewusst hervorgehobene Details und geben das Gesamterlebnis in der Unterkunft nicht korrekt wieder.
Wir bedauern, dass Sie sich entschieden haben, eine unangenehme Episode in einen derart schwerwiegenden und verleumderischen öffentlichen Angriff umzuwandeln.

We are genuinely surprised to read a review with such extreme and offensive tones. Calling the property "life-threatening" is a very serious accusation and completely disproportionate to the facts.
We are obviously sorry for the incident that happened to your husband, but automatically attributing responsibility to the property without any objective verification is unfair. The carpet in the room, as in many historic Venetian properties, had never caused any problems, nor had we received similar complaints from other guests.
The statement that "we didn't care" is also false and unfair: we tried to assist you as much as possible during your stay, despite the aggressive tone you maintained toward the staff.
Our inn is housed in a historic building in the heart of Venice, appreciated every year by hundreds of guests for its authentic charm, cleanliness, and location. The photographs published show deliberately emphasized details and do not accurately represent the overall experience of the property.
We regret that you have chosen to transform an unpleasant episode into such a heavy and defamatory public attack.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Good communication before checkin. They let us check in a little early, gave directions and advice, and packed us breakfast when we had to checkout early. Great location, right on the canal, walkable to everything while not in an area overcrowded with tourists. Our room was exactly as pictured and we enjoyed the canal view. The hotel has a cute little courtyard and a restaurant, with breakfast provided. Only downsides were some small flies in the bathroom and spotty wifi in the room (worked great in the hotel common areas). Overall, an excellent place to stay and I would return!
