Perfectly located for a fair price

At less then 100 metres from the San Marco square, this is a perfect base for a short Venice trip. Rooms are good, but try to stay away from Economy room 101 (in the attic with narrow stairs). Breakfast can be eaten at the nextdoor hotel Castello (we missed the eggs though).

Great location

The hotel has great location just few streets from San Marco Square. There are plenty of shops, restaurants nearby and you are about 5-8min walk from Rialto Bridge. There are also two malls quite close.
We had a room with breakfast, which was ok (I only asked everyday for more bread but I always get it).
The room was upstairs but very comfortable - but definitely NOT for elderly people or with people with bad mobility. Be aware of it.
There are two unpleasant points - we spent a long time to find the hotel - check in is in hotel next door. And mosquitos.. We had a colony of mosquitos and even we killed many of them and had some raid in the socket, nothing worked.

Back after 20 yers.

Location perfekt. But the room with all steps wasn´t good.But the breakfast in the hotel next door was good . It was easy to go to the boat and only 5 minutes walk to the Marcusplace and tha facilities there.

A very disappointing hotel

The accommodation was along a dark passageway. The stairway was steep and smelt damp. The bedroom was dark and with no draw space. The bathroom had a cracked basin. The breakfast was in another building and of limited choice.

Great but 47 Steps to Room

Location cannot be faulted a short walk to the Bridge of Sighs and San Marco. Clean, well maintained, breakfast in hotel a few doors away good. However 47 steps up to your room not 37 as stated by a reviewer. This should be detailed not sure it is. Beware of the mozzies in March and it was only 16 degrees.
