NO ELEVATORS NO ELEVATORS!!
Swear their site said there was when I booked
so when you get assigned a room on floor 2, it’s 2 flights up dragging your luggage. The lobby is considered floor zero. Factor in heat and an older individual and it’s a heart attack waiting to happen-but if you’re smart you won’t have a heart attack here because someone would have to carry you down! When we finally made it to our room the AC was not on and I couldn’t get it to work. So I happily (not) walked downstairs to make an inquiry and mentioned there should be water in the room for after that nightmare of carrying up luggage. The “gentleman” at the front desk informed me there was a vending machine! When I said there should be complimentary water since the elevator did not work he told me if I didn’t like it there he would issue a refund and we could leave. Really? A bottle of water or two asked for in exchange for dragging bags upstairs will break them? Ridiculous! BTW the vending machine was not working! Overall the hotel is “you get what you pay for”. Beds are old. Location near the people mover and vaporattto (Piazzale Roma stop) is convenient. Very easy to get to from the airport-we pre booked a transfer on the bus-and just had to activate our ticket at the bus stop. The buffet breakfast is nice-no hot food. Would I stay again? Yes-with lighter luggage -we were packed for a two week cruise. And hopefully the nasty attitude guy gone.

Well-located hotel

Hotel well located near the train station and the bus station. Public transportation nearby. Correct welcome. Small and outdated room. Terrible breakfast. Just right for the location.

Great location to car parking garage. Noisy at night due to being by canal (industrial part). Shared bathroom and not great rooms. Bed was not comfy at all. A/C was amazing. Front desk workers were great!

Not great

No elevator. Horrible smell, not sure if it was the water. No view. Near the bus stop. No restaurant in the vicinity. But the room was clean and had a large bathroom. Have to take water taxi or walk over a long bridge with steps if coming from the train. Coming in late in the evening (8:30p) didn’t feel very safe. Breakfast was what you’d expect… cereal, baked goods, boiled eggs, meats and cheese. Would not stay here again… for a few more dollars could do much better.

Venice is a great experience.

Top location. About a 10-minute walk from the train station. Vaporetto stops in front of the house towards St. Mark's Square and Lido. Very sparsely furnished rooms and lacking in design. No view. Lighting blocked by the wardrobe. Wi-Fi does not always work. Breakfast is okay by Italian standards. Elevator out of order!! The garden was not allowed to be used. Not all staff members are friendly.
