Beautiful apartment away from the tourist bustle.
We only stayed two nights but would have loved to be able to extend it. The staff were very helpful and arranged our arrival so we didn't need to divert via their office. The apartment was lovely, furnished with classic furniture, and a well thought out kitchen. Situated right next to one of the main boat stops on the island of Murano, it made trips to Venice itself, Burano and Torcello easy. There is a Co-op supermarket nearby for self-catering, and we had a choice of three sizes of espresso maker! Live like a local!

Disappointed.
We were very disappointed! We had to check in ourselves, no change towels. No kitchen towels to dry the dishes. On request: Extra cost !!! Dogs in the house - extra costs for increased !!!! Cleaning:50€ !

Amazing Accomodation and Wonderful Hosts!
Most amazing location away from the busy Venice, but just a short vaporetto ride away, with the stop right in front of the door. Very clean accommodation, very comfortable for our family of five, and I dream of returning some day! Opening those shutters every morning was bliss, absolutely wonderful. Lovely hosts and helpful.
Just one bit of advice, from memory the vaporetto stops at a certain time of night from the main stop in Venice (perhaps it was after 8pm - please check this) and you can only get back to Murano from Fondamente Nove (vaporetto stop in Venice) had I have known this we would have saved alot of walking around getting incorrect directions and being lost! But adds to the experience I guess and also we got to see alot of lovely streets in Venice we would not have seen...

Two weeks at Ca'Mazzega- wonderful
On my last trip to Murano in 2015, I had friends who stayed at Ca' Mazzega so I was eager to book an apartment there for this year's return trip. I was in the Laguna apartment on the second floor and I shared it with two friends. If I remember correctly, I believe it was described as a two bedroom apartment, which, in an American sense, it is not really. There is a large bedroom, overlooking the garden, with a comfortable queen-size bed. The second bed is a twin in the entryway to the apartment, and there is a king-sized sofa bed in the living room. However, the three of us were very comfortable and didn't feel like we were tripping over each other. The bathroom was large enough with a washing machine in it. The shower was small, but it had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. The first week we were there, it was quite hot outside, but the air conditioning units in the bedroom and living room kept the apartment very comfortable. As others have said, you can't beat the convenience of the vaporetto stop right outside the door.
Murano is a wonderful place to stay while exploring Venice. It's much quieter, but there seemed to be more restaurants open in the evening than there were 3 years ago. And the Coop grocery store is great if you want to cook for yourself. Ca' Mazzega is definitely an apartment, not a hotel, but if you want a well-furnished, quiet place to stay, I recommend it. I will be back if I'm lucky enough to take another trip there.

Perfect family trip
Prior to our stay Matthew took care to ensure we had everything we needed to find our way to Ca’ Mazzega.
Upon arriving into Marco Polo airport we took the water bus to Murano (Museo station) which is a few minutes walk from the front door.
We stayed in the Squero Apartment on the ground floor with direct access to the garden which was well looked after, secure, and which our children loved exploring and looking for geckos.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped, had comfortable beds, a powerful shower and good quality bath towels (things that make a difference to me!).
There is a supermarket a short walk away with some very nice restaurants and cafes nearby. As well as (of course) all of the shops and factories selling glass objects. Staying at Ca’ Mazzega gave us free access to a glass blowing exhibition which was just mesmerising for all of us (inc a 5 & 7 year old) - we watched for over an hour and were made to feel very welcome.
The water buses are easy to use and under 6 years children travel for free. We visited Venice a few times and included St Marks, Doges Palace, various gelato vendors.
We took a guided walking tour around Burano which we all enjoyed.
Staying on Murano with children was perfect as it is much quieter than Venice island of an evening and much easier to find your way around without getting lost. When we returned after our days of sightseeing at around 4pm, most glass enthusiasts we leaving so the water buses were quiet and it felt like an oasis of calm.
