A hugely atmospheric old, traditional house in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the main sights.

The courtyard setting for meals and relaxing makes this old, traditional house hugely atmospheric. Run by the enthusiastic owner, it caters mainly for small groups of French tourists and independent travellers of all ages. Rooms comfortable and adequate. Can be a little noisy if other guest stay up late talking. Typical Uzbek breakfasts, with lots of fruit, yogurt and eggs. Located in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the main sights.

Anxiety and distrust

We booked on booking.com, but without any prior notice we were taken to a room on the ground floor of lower quality than the photos on the site. The host offered a discount along with the cancellation of booking.com, which we accepted. But when overnight guests upstairs showered in the middle of the night, mud leaked and, because of an older building, the earth walls collapsed. The ceiling is bent and dangerous. It just doesn't seem like a good room to take money and let people stay. (It's too improbable from a Japanese perspective.) We agreed to stay in another room, but we didn't agree to stay in a leaky room. In hindsight, the mat was laid in the leaky spot, and the host probably knew this in advance. Nevertheless, there was no explanation at check-in. Perhaps the reason you made booking.com cancel is because you don't want people to write bad reviews. I feel very dishonest. The second floor may be pretty soon after renovation, but we recommend not booking it in the first place, given the possibility that you will be guided to a leaky room during your trip and have to re-search for it on the day.
It's a historic building and the courtyard looks nice, but there are a number of similar inns in the area.
Furthermore, there was no apology from the host for this incident and we feel there is a credibility issue.

What s helfull owner!

This is a very very nice hotel with great atmosphere. The owner was extremely helpfull and managed to regain my mobilephone lost in a taxi through endless negotiations. What a helpfull man
Room are nice and clean, breakfast is Well server - everything is totally fine

Antiquity and hospitality in a comfortable and cozy place

Very authentic and welcoming hotel..Hospitable host. Excellent breakfasts. An old Jewish house, preserved and comfortable. The night is cool and pleasant. Huge comfortable beds. Terrace, room amenities, carpets. Magic . Mulberry tree in the yard. Collection of tube caps. The owner was preparing pilaf and shish kebab. Very pleased. We'll be back

DRUNK and CREEPY OWNER

AVOID at all costs. Owner Aziz gets drunk and act inappropriately with women. And its a lousy place irrespective. The rooms are very bare and dusty. There is no storage in the rooms. The water isn't hot half the time. Service is bad. Bathrooms are terrible. Can go on and on.
