Cosy and beautiful

We've booked the room "Vera" ("Belief"), but in the last minute accidently moved to "Liubov" ("Love"). The hotel is just a small part of a high shabby building. However, the room "Love" itself appeared to be really beautiful. It consists of a spacy living room with a small kitchen, a cosy bedroom with an electric fire and a nice bathroom with a large bath. The breakfast could be brought by the hostess from a local cafe for an extra price, but we didn't need it at all. We had a fridge, a micro, a teakettle, plates and dished to keep more distance from local, quite expensive restaurants :) Besides, there was a plenty of amazing trifles in the room, like toys and table centres in the Ukrainian style. We spent 3 nights there and got a considerable discount. 100% satisfied!

Hotel in name only

Don't stay here if your idea of a hotel includes a lobby with helpful staff on duty all or most of the time; amenities like a restaurant or luggage check; or more than 3 guest rooms: this place doesn't have them. What it has is a fantastic location a stone's throw from Andriyivsky Uzviz, the top attraction in the entire country per "Lonely Planet Ukraine," great city views, and decently furnished rooms. Our "deluxe suite" had a queen-sized bed and a couch didn't turn into a fold-out bed. Other gripes: a dark and dreary lobby, breakfast served in the room at preset time, temperamental WiFi. The price was right, but you could probably do better elsewhere.

irresponsible abusive reservation

Abusive behaviour. Arriving to Kiev for a busy business trip, I discover that my reservation is cancelled without anyone trying to contact me. I was then put in a cheap-low quality-dirty-airbnb appartment. I wish the woman in charge of reservation be penalised for such irresponsible behavior The thing is that before arriving they told me to cancel my booking reservation if I wanted to benefit from the additional discount they were offering and ensured they will keep the room for me. On the arrival to Kiev at 10pm, I discovered that no reservation is made on my name. They pretended they did not remember our conversation and then admittied that the room was re-booked via booking before they kept it for me (as if they could not manage it with booking). Moreover they had my contact details and did not event try to contact me in advance. Instead they arranged with another hotel - not the hotel by the cheap airbnb appart-in a terrible state- to host me. Of course not having alternative option I had to accept. Well - done= and not a singe apology. The trip was ruined - I wish the woman in charge of reservation be penalised for such irresponsible behaviorAbusive behaviour. Terrible

Stayed here only for one night,
It was the worth experience ever, rooms where dirty, the unfriendly staff didn't speak English, and the building itself was difficult to find, in a hidden alley, will never come back and do not recommend to anybody !

Topaia in centro

Tendenzioso questo nome come la Guest house (che avrà la camera decente che viene presentata come promo). Il locale è in centro, in una bella posizione, vicino a palazzi molto gradevoli e strutture di buon pregio. Poi inizia l'incubo che durerà sino a quando non riuscirete a trovare in fretta e furia un altro hotel degno di accogliere turisti in vacanza o persone in viaggio per business. Abbiano prenotato due camere, pagato anticipatamente prima di entrare nelle topaie. Che dire? Testimonieranno le foto.... Entrata buia, spine elettriche fulminate, fili elettrici volanti, prese staccate. Stipiti danneggiati, l'armadio a muro chiuso con una tenda, nasconde ragnatele, polvere di mesi, formiche che girano qua e là. Terrazzino che da su un'altra stanza privata, vista su un palazzo fatiscente e in preda ai topi. Materassi sfasciati, cuscini sporchi, così come l'igiene inesistente. Vorrei e potrei andare avanti.... muffa nel bagno, capelli a terra appartenuti a chissà chi.... Neanche i senza tetto quando vengono accolti(senza aver pagato), vengono ricevuti in questo modo. Alle nostre lamentele, la signora bionda (che poi ha detto di non essere la proprietaria, nè il direttore) ha accampato scuse indecenti, oltre ovviamente a chiedere di non fare una cattiva recensione. Vergogna, lo ribadisco. In Italia l'Usl metterebbe i sigilli.
