Hotel Optima Cherkasy

Very professional, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Modern decor. Excellent central location close to all amenities. Very good breakfast. If I visit Cherkasy again, this hotel will be my first choice. 10 out of 10.

I had planned to stay at this hotel, but upon arrival I was unable to check in to my reserved room due to an internal issue at the property. I was advised to return later, which caused significant inconvenience and disrupted my travel plans.
The payment was later refunded through my bank. However, the overall experience was affected by the lack of timely on-site resolution and clear communication.
I hope this was an isolated case and that the hotel will continue improving its service quality and guest experience.
I would reconsider staying here in the future if service processes are improved.

Reikartz special

This group of investors is just that. Decent decor, decent beds, but very unprofessional young girls run the place. They dont stop calling the guests, they are kids doing an important job and they dont get it ! Some of them even have the snippy attitude. Old A/C buzzing creaking cracking..Useless..

Good!

Quite a small room, but clean and comfy. The carpets were quite old and smelly, though. The hotel is centrally located with very friendly staff. Breakfast was included, it was a buffet with mostly warm foods like eggs and omelets or sweet pastry. Good choice for a short stay!

Old hotel, new paint

Very old hotel. See outside photos. Balconies do not work - condemned by the city- unsafe. Poor internet, No heat in rooms during winter months. Limited hot water in rooms for showers. Its an old hotel that has been painted. The rooms are like a hostel...a bed, a desk, a TV with no English channels. Rooms have no sound proofing.
On the main street, directly under the hotel rooms, is a late night rock n roll bar with a noisy outdoor patio - open until 1-2 am every night; under the rooms is a 24 hour cafe popular with teens and drunks after the bars close; Another restaurant is under the rooms as well...and, the hotel is on the Main Street of the city.
There is an included breakfast; basic foods, but enough to start the day; DO NOT USE THE HOTE'S LAUNDRY - OMG THE MOST EXPENSIVE - one bag of socks, underwear and t-shirts cost 40 EURO!!!!! Use a local drop off laundry called "KIMS."
This hotel is 1-2 star at best...read other reviews, staff not great either.
