Coffee Pot Hotel and Cafe are excellent!

The Coffee Pot Hotel and Cafe are excellent. Joseph, the manager, is very welcoming and very helpful for anything you might need. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our meals were delicious and nicely presented. Service was excellent! We’d highly recommend the Coffee Pot Hotel and Cafe to anyone staying in Kisoro. It’s close to Bwindi National Forest where you can trek to see the fabulous mountain gorillas.

Setting the standard for hospitality in Kisoro

During my three-month volunteering placement in Kisoro, the Coffee Pot Hotel became my regular haunt for food and drinks, and I also stayed there for a night. It truly sets the standard for other businesses in this small town.
The dining and bar area is bright, inviting, and carefully considered, which makes a pleasant change from most establishments in town. It is a highly comfortable and welcoming space. On some evenings, they light the fire, adding a to the overall ambience. They also show key football games, but importantly, they keep the volume at a reasonable level so it does not bother guests like myself.
The menu is well-suited to a Western palate; I particularly recommend the chicken and egg baguette with chips. Furthermore, drinks are actually served cold (if desired)—something that is quite rare to find locally!
The owner, Joseph, has clearly thought about every single detail. He cares about providing a personal, high-quality service, and this dedication shows in his team, who are consistently polite, attentive, and professional.
As for the accommodation, my room was of a high-quality, modern standard and very comfortable. My only minor criticism is that the mirror is placed a fraction too high, meaning you can only really see your face. However, a genuinely good breakfast the following morning set me up perfectly for the day ahead.
I highly recommend the Coffee Pot Hotel, and if I am ever back in Kisoro, I will undoubtedly return.

An oasis of calm and cleanliness with a fab bar and café!

We spent two nights at the Coffee Pot Hotel in Kisoro in April 2026 and we were very impressed. The hotel was very clean and very elegant inside and out. We had room 10 - the suite - and it was perfect for me, my wife and daughter - with 2 four-poster-beds. The staff could not have been more helpful; even arranging cars for us at very short notice. The food was tasty and freshly prepared every time and the mocktails were a source of joy to our 10-year-old who had just spent a week off-grid in a small African Village.
The only constructive critique I could give was that the room lacked hooks for clothes and towels...... but Joseph (the super helpful owner/manager) has already promised to rectify this.
100% Recommended :)

A perfect accommodation for a stay in Kisoro

During our tour of Uganda, we spent a night in Kisoro at the Coffee Pot Hotel. The manager, Joseph, personally welcomed us and showed us around the hotel and our room. We had the "Café Latte" room, which was very tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Dinner was excellent; there was a wide selection on the menu, and we were particularly impressed by the cocktail menu. After dinner, the huge fireplace was lit, creating a very cozy atmosphere. The rooms and the hotel as a whole were very clean, the service was good, and the staff were very friendly.
