Avoid like a plague

Avoid this place like a plague, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Poor service, unhelpful manager who gets his staff to deal with any issues you have! It took them 3 hours to give us toilet paper- you don’t even have the basics in the room. It’s places like this that put you off from returning to their Country.
We moved out of the hotel after 2 days and paid for another hotel. They refused to give us a refund but gave our room to new guests!
Breakfast is a joke - I don’t think I have one positive thing to say about this hotel.
I’ve given it one star as I can’t go below that it’s not even 1 star!

Housekeeping clean the rooms well when you specify form cleaning. Breakfast is average, often runs out of items mid service but some items do get replenished. Some of the utilities could do with replacing due to age and wear such as coffee machine. Staff generally ok and willing to help if approached. Would stay again if needing a budget hotel. Room was quite spacious for a family roommof 4

To flee absolutely! Traumatic experience at Hotel Valens (Fatih/Istanbul)

I strongly advise against this hotel which definitely does not deserve its 4 stars. The rooms are in an unacceptable state of filth (sheets stained and obviously not changed between two guests, outdated coffee, mini-bar that does not work and filled with hair / it had clearly not been cleaned, the sanitary gave off a foul smell...
The photos published on Google have absolutely nothing to do with reality. They are very misleading, and do not reflect the actual state of the rooms or common areas.
Breakfast was even worse: inedible, literally.
The eggs were blackened and plasticized, the tomatoes and peppers rotten, no tea was offered (which is the basis for a Turkish breakfast), the sosis looked like rubber. This buffet would not even be suitable for animals.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the cook yelled at me, so much so that I feared physical assault. Shocked by this scene, we contacted the hotel manager, who acknowledged the problems that morning and promised us compensation.
But in the evening, the situation changed: the director denied his words and refused any partial reimbursement. Worse still, he brought in three other men, in an intimidating attitude, clearly to silence us. We felt in danger, and left the hotel at 11pm.
Another unpleasant surprise: access to the pool is subject to a fee of €15 per person, which is not mentioned anywhere in advance. Another deceptive practice.
We paid 75€ a night for this nightmare. Across the street, at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel (€100 per night), everything is incomparable: Welcoming, hygiene, security. Unfortunately, they were sold out that night. For 25€ more, do not risk your comfort or safety, go in front.
This hotel is a disgrace to the hotel industry in Istanbul. Go your way!
