Naz - made our welcome drinks memorable

A last minute request to host welcome drinks for 20 people was made possible by a superb waitress, Naz in the Lagazetta bar. She sourced the wine, prepared an area for us and went above and beyond to ensure we all had a relaxing time.

Average service, great location

We stayed here for 3 nights on the first leg of our honeymoon. The hotel is very corporate but has a nice rooftop pool and small bar, a bar on the ground floor that will show sports and is conveniently located near to the ferries for trips across to the European side of Istanbul (which although confusing, are cheap). The centre of Moda, with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars, is also only a 5 minute walk away.
The service at the hotel wasn't great, not particularly friendly at times and the pool bar seems to close a couple of hours before the actual pool does (unless you seem to know someone that works there who will bring you a beer it seemed!) There is also a rooftop restaurant and bar, though it wasn't clear if this is open to hotel guests or just for private events.
The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of space and big beds. The bathroom was very small but had everything you needed and was clean.
Overall, it was fine but we probably wouldn't stay there again if we re-visit Istanbul.
If you do stay here, be warned that alcohol is ludicrously expensive. Around £8 for a bottle of local beer but £127 for a bottle of Prosecco!!! Dom Perignon is over £1,000 if you're feeling flush!
