Heads up you are not allowed to have visitors upstairs or they can go up with you! They are really sensitive about it. For 2 weeks I paid 1600 and with the same price in Thailand I could have gotten a luxury hotel with swimming pool and more flexibility. I recommend you getting an air B&B instead near the center it’s way cheaper and easier for your love ones to visit and not have restrictions.

We made a reservation 1.5 months in advance for our trip to Ankara. We received confirmation three times before checking in and twice at the hotel, stating that our room was smoking and had a balcony. We checked in the morning, left our luggage in storage, and when we returned in the evening, they had assigned us a non-smoking room without a balcony. We refused, and they gave us another room, which was the same. Finally, after a heated discussion with the hotel manager, Mr. Yavuz, at reception, we were moved to a suite (with a balcony and smoking area) that couldn't be given to us because it was allocated to groups. One of our friends was a heavy smoker. When we went up to the room, the refrigerator wasn't working. We called reception, and they said it wasn't working because we hadn't put anything in it. We said we wanted to get water, and they offered to bring it to us, which we of course refused because they were going to add it to our bill. While the location is nice, a change in management, starting with the reception staff, is essential. I will never stay here again on my next visit. The only good thing was the generous breakfast.

We were very pleased.

From the moment we entered, the receptionist was especially helpful and welcoming. Not to mention the rooms, especially our room is absolutely perfect. Clean, attentive-helpful employees, nice hotel is difficult to find these days, I find it very affordable, if you are looking for a hotel according to these criteria I would definitely recommend Grand Silay.

I had a very pleasant stay at Grand Silay Hotel and would happily recommend it to others visiting Ankara. The location is excellent, convenient and well-situated for getting around the city, with easy access to nearby services and transport.
My room was very clean and well maintained throughout the stay, which made it comfortable and relaxing. The check-in staff were especially welcoming and professional, creating a positive first impression with their friendly and helpful demeanor. I also want to highlight the cleaning staff, who were consistently kind, respectful, and attentive.
Overall, Grand Silay Hotel offered a comfortable, clean, and hospitable experience, and I would gladly stay here again.
