Had an amazing stay at this property in mid April.
The staff were so welcoming and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay so wonderful.
The room had amazing views and amenities
The breakfast was also amazing, so delicious
Our stay at sun moon lake residence 8 was the highlight of our two week trip in Taipei.

It felt clean and the staff was ok. They are not used to working at a hotel or a bnb, but they did their best. My main critizism would be the location. I don't know if it is a mistake by Expedia or the hotel, but it is nowhere near where it is indicated on the map. Its way out in the jungle.

We booked a 3-night stay at Residence 8 to do things we had not experienced in our previous trips to Sun Moon Lake, including a stay at a quieter location, away from the crowd and noise. Residence 8 more than met our needs and expectations. We left early on day-2 for mountain hiking, earlier than the scheduled breakfast time, and the host packed us a lunch sack! We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!
