I stayed here because it was pet-friendly - I brought my cat. The location is ideal because it's right in the center of Kata. I would definitely stay here again.

RUDE STAFF
Booked ibis kata Phuket,
one room two adults one child and one adult in a separate room.
Upon arrival I was show the room which where both the same size and if I wanted and extra bed for my child it was £20 a night extra. I showed my booking to the receptionist and was told that this is not enough evidence and if I wasn’t happy cancel and go stay somewhere else it was 1am in the morning. The receptionist and in fact all staff are rude. Rooms are tiny and smell of urine. 18 sunbeds to the whole hotel which had seen better days,Most days we went to beach or neighbouring hotel, food in hotel is disgusting once was enough. This is the third time in Phuket had it been the first it would have been the last. Phuket is lovely, people are lovely just stay clear of this hotel RECEPTIONISTS RUDE,SMELLY,ROOM DISGUSTING.

Nice hotel for outdoor activities
Good time, dear tourists!
This is my second visit to Thailand and my first to Kata Beach.
The hotel is located in the center of the street, so walk equally far to the beach even to the left, even to the right of the entrance. There's plenty of shops, cafes and street food.
They moved in right away, without delay. A $100 deposit is charged upon check-in.
The room has a shower room, toilet has a shower hat and cotton pads, shampoo and shower gel are on the wall in attached dispensers (hz good or bad, I'm more used to when in tubes). 4 towels (changeable upon request).
General air conditioning (controller is functional). The TV (turns on every time you insert a key card, is terribly annoying). Small wardrobe, bed and safe with fridge. There are two chairs and a table on the balcony, it's nice to have somewhere to dry things (the balcony itself is small). Every day water supply is replenished (here nuance, water in glass bottles, if you break that fine (leave 2 empty, when cleaning will leave 2 full). Whichever way, but somehow it's more convenient if you could take it with you and throw it away. There's two beach towels in the closet where you don't have anyone watching them. There is a tea set (kettle, 2 cups and tea with coffee) replenished every day.
WiFi even catches in the room.
Breakfasts are monotonous but delicious according to the buffet system (tea, coffee rice, pasta, cereal and frucchia).
At the reception you can rent a bike and buy excursions. Parking is also available.
In general, the arrival at the hotel was satisfied.

The rooms are as small as they look in the pics. Be prepared to live out of your suitcase if you are there for more than 4 days. There is not storage space for your clothes if you are the unpacker type. The second unused twin bed was essentially my secondary storage shelf. Sliding the mattresses together is not an option. They will slide off the pedestals. The location is great. Plenty of food and nightlife around. The beach is a bit of a walk, but the hotel has a shuttle. The map is misleading. Yes, the beach is 200 meters away; however, you can't walk directly to it because there is a private property (Club Med) across the street. For the price, it's clean and the people are nice. The pool is smaller than it looks and there are not enough chairs for the guests. There is a 7/11 next door for sundries, but it's the busiest store you've ever seen. There are laundry and souvenir options within 200 meters.

Ibis Kata - not recommended!
The hotel is terrible for its price, I advise against it. The very first is very dirty floors. Apparently they are not washed at all!!!!!! Try running a napkin on the floor and you'll be terrified! I don't talk about corners. The rooms are very small, the renovation is old, apparently not done in a long time! The pool is a lucky little old one! Breakfasts are mediocre, the basics are there... but God, everything is so old. Even the toaster can't update! Only a coffee machine is new! The location is not comfortable enough, the beach is walking 15 minutes, there is a shuttle to the beach , but such that you do not want to get in it! Corridors, elevators all shabby and dirty! In general, for this price you can find something better!
