Great Value

I booked the double room (number 9) and read quite a lot of reviews about WiFi issues, though I had no problems on the very top floor in the corner room 90% of the time and I was connected most of the day. The WiFi is actually hidden and has to be added my the manager who by the way, is very friendly and speaks English. The onsite parking is secure, there is free instant tea and coffee, and also drinks for sale, and the breakfast is included, though quite limited indeed. I paid 250som via a booking platform and the room was very good as was the ensuite which was impeccably clean with hot water all the time and good pressure. Everything was great for the price. Would recommend 100%.

WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE! Aggressive staff & ruined my travel plans

If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel is a nightmare. I stayed an extra night specifically for their laundry service. We explicitly agreed: I drop my clothes off in the morning, and pick them up at 6-7 PM. I handed them over at 11:30 AM. When I checked at 2:00 PM, they were untouched! They only took them after I sent a complaint through Booking.com.
At 10:00 PM—just 6 hours before my international flight—I asked for my clothes. The receptionist ignored me, talked on his phone for 15 minutes, and then showed me my clothes SOAKING WET. Instead of apologizing, he treated me like I was crazy and told me to pack them wet or dry them myself in the room!
When I objected, the staff's behavior turned completely hostile and barbaric. They mocked me, ganged up on me, and aggressively tried to provoke a fight. Unprofessional, deceitful, and completely unsafe for tourists. Avoid this place at all costs!

Quite good and inexpensive

I stayed at the Hello Hostel for three nights. There is hardly anything to complain about, but there were minor "construction sites" during my stay and the reception staff were not equally friendly - some were nice, others were a bit "bureaucratic" and bossy. Nevertheless, the quiet location near the metro and next to a park as well as the price mean that I will come back next time.

Clean, neat, and rooms are huge. Bathrooms are very big. Beds has spring mattress! The wardrobe is a museum piece and looks imposing. Wifi good. Breakfast OK. There are some nearby restaurants. Staff are friendly but maybe a little too informal at times.

Comfortable, very nice helpful staff

We started our Tajikistan 2 weeks travel here to get first encounter with Tajik hospitality. Very nice staff - free tea, coffee and water (with August heat indispensable). Got local guide to show us a bit of Dushanbe. Very nice spacius rooms, clean bathroom, good breakfast - perfect start of our holidays.
