Celebrated my 75th birthday at Ullared

The first time I was at Ullareds department store and slept at Gekås hotel. It was so good. Clean good food great service. Very friendly staff. I thought it was a fun experience to shop in the department store.

Not worth the money - find alternative if you can

If the target is Gekås, the location is good. It gets 2 stars. The rest was a solid downturn. Did not get an answer on check-in with the host, the door was locked and we felt not welcome when we arrived a Friday evening after a long day in the car. Okay, but very tight room. The water flows out all the floor in the bathroom by showering. New, relatively nice bathroom, but ice cold and rough - not welcoming at all. The outdoor area was fine with a tired sofa group, but the lights didn't work. Breakfast included there was no information about and we only got some remains from guests who had eaten before us. No, at this price it was definitely not worth the money! Here the host needs to give a little more care for his guests, and not least his house, which in the worst case "rots from below" due to poorly performed work in the bathroom. Rather recommend finding rooms at the hotel as the price is about the same, but more pleasant surroundings.

Nonchalant host and not worth “cheap” money even

Clean and quiet. This was the only plus. The so-called breakfast was for two and we were three paying guests. There was no bread, no milk, dry and skimpy spread, no cooking but time span 8-10 for breakfast - why, everything was self-service?! Bed & breakfast is really not right. The toilet flushed water all the time, at the guests in the next room there was a block in the shower so the bathroom was filled with water… Called the host repeatedly before answering. The treatment casual and disengaged. Do NOT recommend.

Can't recommend

There was a party in the garden with screaming children and adults, loud music and barking dogs. Silenced at about 11.30pm. Ice cold floor in the toilet, mattresses in the bed were down. Wifi and tv didn't work. We paid extra for a dog but there wasn't even a bowl for her (usually there is bowl, blanket and treats). The door to the toilet could not be opened fully because of the bed.

Disturbing 5g

Unfortunately, they have set up a 5g mast very close to the hotel. Of which 3 of the 4 of us slept very badly. Me with blah howling in my ears. Will not stay here again. Otherwise happy with everything else. Nice rooms near Gelås, but because the mast is there, it doesn't add up.
