Nice campsite

Friendly service, good beds, you could also use e-steps which was a nice experience, also you are close to a supermarket, swimming pool and fitness (a bit of a pity that the pool and fitness did not belong to the campsite so you had to pay separately for that). Also enough play areas for children with nice equipment.

Plenty of electric scooters and no gym

Be careful around the electric scooters. They are completely out of control. Children as young as six or seven are riding around recklessly. Mothers and fathers are even riding with their children as passengers. Every day I feel like I have to keep an eye on my car to make sure no one crashes into it. The situation has deteriorated significantly over just the past two years. In the past, children used to rent pedal bikes at the campsite. It was much safer, more relaxing, and created a much nicer atmosphere.
Another thing I’ve noticed is this: why doesn’t the campsite have a better agreement with the water park regarding access to the gym? You can’t buy admission to the gym without also buying admission to the water park. And if you buy both, you have to use your gym access before leaving the facility. That’s very impractical when you have children and lots of belongings with you, because you can’t go back to your cabin for a while and then return to the gym later. There are thousands of people staying at the campsite who would probably like to fit in a workout, but they don’t have the opportunity because of these rules. I don’t understand why the campsite and the water park don’t see the opportunity to generate more revenue here. Instead, the gym sits almost completely empty every day.

Near to Road

Terrible WiFi, right by the road but very good facilities and bus right outside into the centre so had plus sides

EXCELLENT CAMPING NEAR THE CITY CENTER

It's a nice campsite, quite big about 2Km from the city center. It offers all the necessary facilities on the pitches and the toilets are well distributed, clean and well done. Check in is fast, access the campsite with a code that is delivered to you immediately. For the average camping in Norway I would say great.

Stugan Idun

We rented a cottage (Idun) which was great. Well adapted for wheelchair users, with fold-down cabinet and stove. It was ok equipped. Also the bathroom was handicap accessible. It is a cottage for 6 people but if you are more than 4 you can sit on the kitchen chairs or on the floor in the living room if you want to watch TV together.
What was missing was some kind of air conditioning / AC. It was hot and stuffy in the cottage and we could not at the time have doors open to get cross draughts and lower the heat.
It should be possible to open more windows than just in the bedroom and toilet, especially when there were so many windows in the kitchen area and living room, they were divided so that you could open the upper part of the windows, for example.
